  # <center>MY MASTERPIECE (MI OBRA MAESTRA)</center>

My masterpiece is one of the last comedies I watched that made me laugh to tears. This award-winning Argentine film from 2018 is an ingeniously designed comedy and drama, very layered, unpredictable, at times bizarre movie, with very well-crafted characters,  and movie with very intelligent humor. The main characters are fantastically psychologically presented, as are their relationships and dialogues.

 Two completely different personalities - painter Renzo, nihilist, grumpy, rude, reckless, talented, decadent, neglected, brutally honest, uncompromising, but the infinitely likable man whom women, especially younger ones, adore, even though he lives in poverty, and his friend Arturo, who holds a picture gallery and who sells his paintings, well-situated, charming and who loves money. The genius painter's career is failing, but his friend wants to correct it. This is very difficult because the painter is not ready to compromise and does not want to paint the commissioned paintings.

 In any case, I don't want to reveal much about their plans, ideas, and bizarre situations that they get into and get out of. The film will definitely entertain and surprise you, so I recommend it. In addition to humor and sudden situations, I really like the atmosphere of the film and the landscapes that are shown in the film.

The clash of different worlds seems to be a winning combination for a good comedy. This is one of the similarities between the films The Intouchables and My Masterpiece.

The Intouchable is one of my favorite movies, which I have watched many times, and every time I laughed and every time I cried. This fantastic French comedy and drama is a true and touching story about the differences that complement each other! The film is very emotional and warm, so it evokes different emotions, but it is wonderful and touching.

In short. The immobile aristocrat Philippe (François Cluzet), a man of the finest manners and refined taste, employs Driss (Omar Sy), a poor young man, who has been released from prison, to be his assistant in daily activities. Driss is very witty, direct, and irresistible. They become best friends, helping and complementing each other. Driss helps Philippe to "wake up" and "live" and get out of the depression he fell into due to the consequences of the accident that befell him. Philippe helps Driss realize his potential. In one word - a wonderfully emotional story that will soften you and make you laugh to tears. It is an untouchable film that will stay in your memory for a long time.

# <center> SERIAL (BAD) WEDDINGS (Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?)</center>

 Another fantastic French comedy! I like the original title of the film much more than the English translation. A genius and witty family comedy about a Catholic couple and their four daughters, who have husbands of different nationalities and religions. Their parents do not like this, but they are trying to accept the situation, hoping that the youngest daughter will marry an exemplary Catholic. But... Each of the sons-in-law is a true representative of their religion and nation, so the film is really interesting and finely composed.

The characters are interesting, the dialogues are fantastic, the theme is light, the film is great for relaxing and raising the atmosphere! If you’re anything sad, this movie will definitely cheer you up!

Another clash of differences will bring you to tears. This is pure comedy and a wonderful story about accepting diversity. The theme that plagues modern society today is fantastically portrayed in this film! The lesson of the film: Love conquers all!

# <center>TV Seires - KITCHEN (Кухня)</center>

The end of the 2016 year was very difficult for me. We all have difficult moments in life, but also the mechanisms by which we struggle with such conditions and situations. Anyway, **Humor can be one of our best tools for survival** (*Allen Kein*). So TV series that pleased me a lot during that period and helped me forget reality for a moment is the Russian sitcom - Kitchen!

This sitcom is hilarious! A bunch of fantastic and funny characters, workers of the French restaurant "Claude Monet" in the heart of Moscow will delight and cheer you up. The story has several levels, which is necessary for a series that has a lot of episodes, so there are love stories, scams, a competitive restaurant, as well as fantastic and interesting episodic characters. 

My favorite character is the chef Viktor Petrovich Barinov, who is a professional, but prone to drinking, arrogant, vain, ridiculous, who insults his workers and calls them disabled. These awful qualities are so beautifully mixed in this interesting character, which will delight you. 

It is also a wonderful love story that takes place between chef Mark and the wonderful beautiful manager Vika and so on and so forth. This TV show has several sequels that are great.

When all the seasons of this series are over, some of the characters are used in the sequel called Hotel Eleon, but here the story is diluted and faded so that the magic is lost.
In addition to this series, three films were made that are OK, but still, the essential idea was best used in the first couple of seasons.

 In any case, this is a sitcom that is ingenious for many reasons, from the ambiance of a luxury restaurant and fantastically decorated dishes, fantastically done actors who are very specific and comic, to dialogue and amazing scenes and hilarious situations.

 # <center>TV Series - Open Doors (Otvorena vrata)</center>


I wasn’t sure if I should suggest this series. The reason is very specific humor that is characteristic for this area and for a very sensitive political and social moment in which my country found itself. So I'm not sure how this humor would be understood outside the borders of Serbia, because it's very specific. But since the question is "What’s your favorite comedy?" I had to introduce you to this hilarious comedy because this is my favorite series of all time.

Open Doors is a series about the modern and contemporary Belgrade family, which is coping with the current political situation and decadent time, is open. The choice of actors is fantastic! The characters are comical and specific, and the phrases from the film are still retold today. This modern family consists of Cakana - an artist, sculptor, surrealist who lives in the bathroom and who is angry with her husband Dragčet because he cheated on her and who tries in every possible way to forgive Cakana. In the apartment with Cakana live her daughter Milica, an intelligent kid who is obsessed with politics and events in the assembly, her son Vojkan, eternally ill, her brother Bata, who is similar to Vojkan and who are thinking of ways to get rich, and her niece Anna, a beautiful girl with masculine character. A bunch of supporting characters also contribute to this hilarious story. Many set designers and directors worked on this ingenious series.

And that would be it! I chose movies and TV shows exclusively according to my affinities, without intending to please anyone's taste. These are definitely comedies that I really enjoyed, that I adore and that I can watch over and over and over again without getting bored. That is why I recommend them to everyone. It is interesting that none of them is in English, but that was not my intention. I love English humor and the legendary series Only Fools and Horses, Monty Python, or 'Allo 'Allo!
