New computers often get bundled with a trial or limited antivirus, when these are insufficient you might end up infected with viruses, malware and popups.

To get rid of an old antivirus, you can click on start, type control and press enter, then click on uninstall a program, or programs and features.


There are free antiviruses that are very good. Avast is one of them. You can visit https://avast.com, and click on free download in the top right.
