Good day Steemians! I'm your "young at heart" tour guide for today! I'm **Lara**, Engineer on Weekdays, Student on Saturdays, Entrepreneur on Sundays and BYAHERA on Holidays!

So let me give you some information about the beautiful province of *Zambales*!

## A BRIEF HISTORY OF ZAMBALES <h2>

The name of the province is derived from its earliest inhabitants, the Zambals. They worship spirits called "anitos", thus they were reffered to as "Sambali" from the Malay word samba, meaning "to worship". The term was later Hispanicized to "Zambal".

Zambales was one of the earliest provinces created during the Spanish rule. As founded in the 16 th century. it comprised an area extending from Cape Bolinao in the north to Subic Bay in the south. Due to their inaccessibilty from the capital, seven towns in the northern portion of Zambales, from Bolinao to Infanta and including Alaminos, were later ceded to Pangasinan, forming its western part.

Zambales is the home province of the seventh president of the Republic, Ramon Magsaysay, who hailed form Castillejos.

Anyway, don't forget to make a reservation on your chosen resort. In our case, we decided to stay in **"CRYSTAL BEACH RESORT"** for it's good feedbacks.

I'll start the journey here.

It was only 4 o'clock in the morning and since everyone is hungry we had our 1st stop at Burger King at the nearest bus stop.

First in our itinerary is to visit the "MIRACLE ART MUSEUM" which will open by 9:30AM and it is located at the back side of Harbor Point. Since we're almost 2 hours earlier, we decided to buy some foods and stuffs at Puregold.

These are some of the sample pictures inside the museum. They have an entrance fee of 90pesos. For me, the museum is nice but the space too small.

And finally, we have arrived safely in our destination **"THE CRYSTAL BEACH RESORT"**

Everyone seems so tired and decided to put our bags inside the jungle hostel and take some rest. After an hour, we assemble our tents (we have four tents). For your information, the jungle hostel room's price is 2500 good for two. Since four of us have their tents, we only took 1  jungle hostel and 7 "BRING YOUR OWN TENT". If you have a tent to bring, you'll only pay 895pesos per pax, but if none they will lend you a tent and pay for 995pesos per pax.

The beach resort is strict when it comes to where you will assemble your tent. They only provide one place for everyone to build their tents.  But the worse thing here is, the area is too far from the beach side. So for me, just take the Jungle Hostel Room, because it is really near the beach side and will ony cost you 2500pesos good for two including one electric fan and an outlet inside.

Did you know that you have one free breakfast buffet included in your entrance fee? Well now you know. Actually at first, I thought it was just an egg, hotdog, dried fish, tocino, longganisa, pandesal and hot drinks. But I was wrong. Once you taste it, you will surely admire their foods. Promise!

Sample of their breakfast buffet foods. Sorry didn't have time to take pictures of all the foods because that time I was just like... "I'M HUNGRY, I'M SO HUNGRY, ENOUGH FOR SELFIES AND GROUFIES, LET'S JUST EAT!"

Since they only offer one free breakfast, they also have a restaurant where you can order foods for your lunch and dinner.

**"Model of Land Rover."** Chaaaaar!
The timing is really good. After having our breakfast, someone parked his Land Rover beside the restaurant and got a chance to have a picture with it.

This is my monkey friend, joke!  His name is Kherwin and he loves to have photos like this one! As he jumped, he shouted **"TO THE BEACH!"** while pointing his forefinger at the beach.

The beach was not crowded as expected so we really enjoyed swimming on the beach with some strong waves!
