Buda Castle located on the Buda side of Budapest is my favorite spot in the city. First and foremost I want to express how much I love Budapest as a whole.This castle truly boasts a breathtaking view that captivates visitors with its historical charm. It almost feels like it was built just yesterday. You can reach the castle by funicular or buses but my personal favorite is to climb up with mini electric vehicles. I also believe using the stairs can be quite enjoyable at least on the way back. The castle features a magnificent fountain adorned with beautiful statues. Whether it's day or night it holds a distinct beauty that makes it a must-visit place for tourists. This is where the most stunning photos are taken and there are also food and drink establishments available.

Leaving Budapest without seeing the view from the top where Buda Castle stands would be a missed opportunity. There are several reasons for this. Firstly the best city panorama is not from Gellért Hill but from here. The surrounding streets and hidden historical gems are worth exploring. The atmosphere here evokes a mystical feeling and transports you back to the medieval era.

Sitting on the historical bastions of Buda Castle watching the flowing Danube River and the iconic Chain Bridge above it was truly marvelous. It's also important not to forget Pest spread out across the river valley on the opposite bank of the Danube. And there's the famous historical Parliament building situated right on the banks of the river. The view of Buda and Pest separated by the majestic Danube is awe inspiring. It's one of the city's most significant tourist areas.

Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion are also within walking distance. Moreover every corner of Budapest has its own unique beauty. The structures that leave you in awe during the day transform into a different kind of enchantment in the world's most beautifully illuminated city at night.

In many important cities throughout Europe there are usually elevated points either natural or man-made where you can have a bird's-eye view of the city. For example the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Euromast Tower in Rotterdam. In Budapest that spot is none other than Buda Castle. By visiting the museum near the castle which is protected by UNESCO you can gain more insights into its history. With its grand buildings statues and incredible vistas there's so much to offer for a relaxing tour in this area.
