I want to share with you a traditional and delicious recipe for a Venezuelan snack, "el tequeño", these are some fried dough sticks filled with cheese, they are crunchy and cannot be missed at any party in my country.

>Quiero compartirles una receta tradicional y deliciosa de un bocadillo venezolano, el tequeño, estos son unos palitos de masa fritos rellenos de queso, son crujientes y no pueden faltar en ninguna fiesta de mi país.

To make this recipe you will need:

>Para hacer esta receta necesitarás:

• 1 1/2 cup of wheat flour.
• 1 egg.
• 1/4 cup of butter.
• 1 teaspoon salt.
• Cheese chopped into sticks approximately 1cm wide.
• Oil for frying.

>• 1 1/2 taza de harina de trigo.
>• 1 huevo.
>• 1/4 taza de mantequilla.
>• 1 cucharadita de sal.
>• Queso picado en palitos de aproximadamente 1 cm de ancho.
>• Aceite para freír.

First we add all the ingredients in a bowl and knead very well to form a smooth and homogeneous dough.

>Primero añadimos todos los ingredientes en un bol y amasamos muy bien para formar una masa tersa y homogénea.

Next, we stretch the dough with the help of a rolling pin and cut into long strips about 1cm wide and 10 cm long, then we take each strip of dough and roll it around the cheese stick and close the ends very well so that the cheese does not get out.

>A continuación, estiramos la masa con ayuda de un rodillo y cortamos en tiras largas de 1cm de ancho y 10 cm de largo, luego tomamos cada tira de masa y la enrollamos alrededor de la barra de queso y cerramos muy bien los extremos para que el queso no sale.

Lastly, we add oil to a pan and fry the tequeños until golden brown on both sides.

>Por último, echamos aceite en una sartén y freímos los tequeños hasta que estén dorados por ambos lados.
