It is 100% true that social media has a large hold and impact on modern society now. There are definitely some pros that come with social media, especially for many businesses. But, more and more people are waking up to the cons of social media.

I break spare moments of the day into producing or consuming. Producing is creating something new, or just simply doing something. Working out,  writing, painting, running, learning, anything.... Consuming is things like scrolling through Instagram or Facebook, reading blogs or the news, watching Netflix, etc...

Producing is much healthier and much more beneficial on the whole. You have something to show for it. You've done something. Now don't get me wrong, consuming isn't bad by nature. It's EXTREMELY important to read and learn. That's consuming. But you're consuming knowledge.

What are you learning about when you're consuming? Ask yourself that question.
