<p>Me siento contento de haber hecho una pausa en mis múltiples actividades. Confieso que al principio estaba preocupado de que las cosas se salieran de control, soy un maniático del control, pero luego pensé que una invitación para subir a las montañas no se recibe todos los días.</p>
<p>Ver las cumbres plateadas, la sombra de los halcones que patrullan el cielo, la suave hierba que acolcha el sendero rocoso, todo esto me produce una sensación de paz que jamás obtendré detrás de mi escritorio, o en las incontables reuniones con los socios.</p> 
<p>Pero a medida que avanzo, un cansancio comienza a apoderarse de mí. Siento como si llevara sobre mis hombros a otra persona. He estado a punto de resbalar varias veces, pero mis botas de senderismo lo han evitado.</p>
<p>”Es la falta de oxígeno” dice el guía sonriente. Luego me explica que a medida que subimos, menor es la cantidad de oxígeno contenido en la atmósfera y por eso me siento tan agotado.</p>
<p>Me asegura que estaré bien, que no corro ningún peligro por los momentos, a pesar de estar algo sofocado.</p>
<p>Pero comparando mi estilo de vida con las bellezas naturales que hay en esta montaña, preferiría mil veces sofocarme por la altura que por el estrés de la oficina.</p>
<p>Un poco de descanso y me siento mejor. Estoy emocionado ante la idea de ver pasar a un ciervo o quizá un oso. En la ciudad solo veo buitres cada día.</p>

I am glad to have taken a break from my many activities. I confess that at first I was worried that things would get out of control, I'm a control freak, but then I thought that an invitation to climb the mountains is not received every day.

Seeing the silvery peaks, the shadow of the hawks patrolling the sky, the soft grass padding the rocky trail, it all gives me a sense of peace that I'll never get behind my desk, or in countless meetings with partners.

But as I move forward, a weariness begins to take hold of me. I feel as if I'm carrying someone else on my shoulders. I've come close to slipping several times, but my hiking boots have prevented it.

"It's the lack of oxygen," says the smiling guide. He then explains to me that the higher we climb, the less oxygen is contained in the atmosphere and that's why I feel so exhausted.

He assures me that I'll be fine, that I'm not in any danger at the moment, even though I'm a bit suffocated.

But comparing my lifestyle with the natural beauties on this mountain, I'd much rather suffocate from the altitude than from the stress of the office.

A little rest and I feel better. I am excited at the thought of seeing a deer or maybe a bear pass by. In the city I only see vultures every day.
