Now that the summer season has started in this part of the world, most people are looking to spend a few days on the coast of Buenos Aires. Beaches are always the favorite destination of many people; personally I prefer rivers and mountains but I also do not refuse to spend a few days at sea. Luckily, last year my friend and I had the opportunity to go enjoy this landscape before everyone has a vacation, and this allowed us to make a fairly inexpensive trip ❤️.

I have already said several times that thanks to our Hive blogs, my friend Sofía and I manage our own schedules and thanks to this we can go on a trip whenever we want (and we can), something that we both enjoy equally. It was September, spring was just beginning and there was hardly an occasional hot day, but we had already proposed a summer destination. So we looked at where we could go with the long distance train and luckily, this included a stop at a beach on the coast.

In all these years I have known some of the many beaches on the coast, but I had never been to Pinamar precisely, so the idea immediately seemed great to me. But we weren't the only ones available to us on these days off: her friend's mother and her two aunts also joined our trip. So we buy tickets online: as there are not many people traveling on that date, we had no problems getting tickets. The roundtrip tickets cost us 1000 ARS each (about 5 USD), a price at least 3 times less than what a bus costs.

<em>En todos estos años he conocido algunas de las muchas playas de la costa, pero justamente a Pinamar nunca había ido así que la idea me pareció buenísima enseguida. Pero no fuimos las únicas que tuvimos disponible estos días libres: también se sumaron a nuestro viaje la mamá de su amiga y sus dos tías. Los tickets para todas los adquirimos online: como no hay mucha gente que viaje en esa fecha, no tuvimos problemas en conseguir pasajes. Los tickets ida y vuelta nos costaron 1000 ARS a cada una (algo de 5 USD), un precio por lo menos 3 veces menor a lo que cuesta un micro. </em>

The only "bad" thing about the train is that it is much slower than traveling by bus or car. The train is supposed to go fast, but it doesn't. While by bus it would take 4 hours to get to the coast, by train the same trip takes 7 hours due to how slow it goes. In addition, to get to Pinamar, this service has an intermediate stop where you must change trains. But hey, for the low price we paid we couldn't complain too much 😂.

<em>Lo único "malo" del tren es que es mucho más lento que el viaje en micro o auto. Se supone que el tren debería ir rápido, pero no es así. Mientras que en micro tardarías 4 horas en llegar a la costa, en tren el mismo viaje tarda 7 horas debido a lo lento que va. Además, para llegar a Pinamar, este servicio tiene una parada intermedia en donde debes cambiar de tren. Pero bueno, por el bajo precio que pagamos no podíamos quejarnos demasiado 😂.</em>

When we got to the Pinamar station we took a bus to the coast, which only cost us 100 ARS (0.5USD). We found out about this when we got there, we had planned to take a taxi but I think fate wanted us to keep saving 😅.

Regarding accommodation, Sofía got an apartment for 5 people 3 blocks from the beach at a cost of ARS 5000 per day (25 USD). This price for this location in the heart of Pinamar is non-existent for these dates. The place really was a luxury and comfortable for all. It had all the needs covered and with a wonderful view. I don't even want to know how much the rent is now 😂.

Our plan was to spend 4 days there. The first day we arrived the weather was really nice, but we didn't go to the beach until 5PM. We were very tired from the long train journey, but not as tired as missing an afternoon at the beach. The good thing about the place we rented was that it was very close to the beach so we could go back and forth quickly ❤️.

Estábamos muy cansadas del largo viaje en tren, pero no tanto como perdernos una tarde de playa. In this entire trip, each of us spent less than ARS 8,000 in total (40 USD): what we saved on tickets and stays we spent on trips, outings and food. The center of the city was quite empty since the strong season of this place is of course the summer, but we found some bars open to enjoy a little as I like 😇. It was a nice ride, I would like to repeat it sometime in the high season to see it in full swing. Of course, knowing that I will need a slightly more extensive budget 😅.

El centro de la ciudad estaba bastante vacío ya que la temporada fuerte de este lugar por supuesto es el verano, pero nos encontramos con algunos bares abiertos como para disfrutar un poco como me gusta 😇. Fue un lindo paseo, me gustaría repetirlo en algún momento de la temporada alta para verlo en su pleno auge. Eso sí, sabiendo que necesitaré un presupuesto un poco más extenso 😅. </em>
