Today the weather gave us one of those days that I wouldn't even have used to go for a walk: cold and cloudy, ideal for lying down all day watching series until nightfall. And it is that everything would have been like this if only I had not promised to go out today, in a plan that I put together yesterday when the day was completely sunny and somewhat warm despite being winter. Even though I felt a bit cheated, I couldn't go back on my plans so I had to face them, bundle up and go as far as I had promised 😅.

<em>Hoy el clima nos dió un día de esos que yo ni loca hubiese usado para ir a pasear: frío y nublado, ideal para estar todo el día acostado mirando series hasta que se haga de noche. Y es que todo hubiese sido así si tan solo no me hubiese comprometido a salir hoy, en un plan que armé ayer cuando el día estuvo completamente soleado y algo cálido a pesar de ser invierno. A pesar de que me sentí un poco estafada, no podía hacer atrás mis planes así que tuve que enfrentarlos, abrigarme e ir hasta donde había prometido 😅.</em>

All the energy I had yesterday made me promise my sister and niece that today I would take them to an anime and cosplay exhibition in a city one hour from my house. Of course, an hour that turned into two hours due to the slowness of public transport on Sunday. And as if that weren't enough, halfway we ran into a demonstration that delayed us even more, but we managed to arrive on time anyway 😅.

<em>Toda la energía que tenía ayer me hizo prometerle a mi hermana y a mi sobrina que hoy las llevaría a una exposición de animé y cosplays en una ciudad a una hora de mi casa. Claro, una hora que se transformó en dos horas debido a la lentitud del transporte público en domingo. Y como si eso fuera poco, a mitad de camino nos cruzamos con una manifestación que nos retrasó aún más, pero de cualquier forma logramos llegar a tiempo 😅.</em>

This place is relatively new and is used every time there are massive events like this one. It is a fairly large place that has a square, outdoor space and a covered area, so activities can be carried out without the risk of suspension due to rain. In addition to the event that we went to see, outside there was a fair of local artisans promoting their work, something that is very common to see in the municipalities of our area as a way of promoting the work of these people ❣️.

<em>Este lugar es relativamente nuevo y se usa cada vez que hay que hacer eventos multitudinarios como este. Es un lugar bastante amplio que cuenta con un plaza, espacio al aire libre y un área techada, por lo que se pueden realizar actividades sin riesgo de suspensión por lluvia. Además del evento que fuimos a ver, en la parte de de afuera había una feria de artesanos locales promocionando sus trabajos, algo que es muy común ver en los municipios de nuestra zona como forma de fomentar el trabajo de estas personas ❣️.</em>

In the semi-roofed part of the venue there was more fair and there was the main stage. When we arrived, there was a concert by a band that is dedicated to singing anime songs. I don't use this kind of stuff so I didn't know anything at all, but my sister who does like it said the performances were good and the songs were classic. Well, that's her opinion 😅.

Then, there was a completely covered space where all the anime merchandise and those things that my sister likes were found. There were a lot of stalls and cute things to buy like key chains, artwork, sculptures, 3D printed objects, clothes, accessories, books, etc. A large group of merchants dedicated to this that offered everything. At the time I kind of regretted that I didn't know any of those drawings because some of the stuff was so cute ❣️.

Había un montón de puestos y cosas lindas para comprar, como llaveros, ilustraciones, esculturas, objetos impresos en 3D, ropa, accesorios, libros, etc. Un gran rejunte de comerciantes dedicados a esto que ofrecían de todo. En ese momento me lamenté un poco de que no conocer ninguno de esos dibujos porque algunas cosas eran muy adorables ❣️.</em>

While we were walking here and there we saw all those who were cosplaying taking photos and enjoying the event, but around 5PM the contest started and everyone started lining up to go up and show off their costumes. This attracted all the scattered people and in a matter of minutes the front of the stage was packed 🙃.

<em>Mientras estábamos paseando por aquí y allá veíamos a todos aquellos que estaban haciendo cosplay sacarse fotos y disfrutar del evento, pero alrededor de las 5PM empezó el concurso y todos empezaron a formar fila para subir y mostrar sus trajes. We looked for a better location on the side of the stage where we could see better and not be so crushed. All those who went up had beautiful costumes: there were people of all ages, adults, children, all having fun with the applause and the performances of each character. It must be fun to play your favorite character in costume and all, so I was happy for everyone doing it with pride. And I also thanked those who made movie characters that I knew, so I wasn't left out of everything 😂.

Todos aquellos que subieron tenían trajes hermosos: habían personas de todas las edades, adultos, niños, todos divirtiéndose con los aplausos y las actuaciones de cada personaje. Debe ser divertido interpretar a tu personaje preferido con todo y su vestuario, así que me sentí feliz por todos lo que lo hacen con orgullo. Y también agradecí a aquellos que hicieron personajes de películas que yo conocía, así no me quedaba tan afuera de todo 😂.</em>

In the end, overcoming the laziness that gray days give me was not so bad because we had an entertaining afternoon. It is good that these types of events are organized with free admission, so everyone has the opportunity to go have fun and most importantly, many people have a lot of work on those days. This event was held yesterday and today, but we hope they do it more often because it is a good option to spend the afternoon with the family ❣️.

Es bueno que se organicen este tipo de eventos con entrada libre y gratuita, así todos tienen la oportunidad de ir a divertirse y lo más importante, mucha gente tiene mucho trabajo esos días. Este evento se realizó ayer y hoy, pero esperemos que lo hagan más seguido porque es una buena opción para ir a pasar el rato en familia ❣️.</em>
