[Bear markets](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bear-market) can be difficult.

It is hard to watch the value of our holdings getting slaughtered.  This is where the internal fortitude of [investors](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investor) enters.  When dealing with the bear, it is vital we muster all we can to not allow [FUD](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-fear-uncertainty-doubt-fud) to enter our thinking and approach things with a clear understanding.

Obviously, none of us know the future or what it holds.  At best, all of us are making a guess.  However, we can gauge things based upon probabilities.  To me, when it comes to [cryptocurrency](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency), I look for those projects that have teams building and looking to bring utility to the table.

[Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) is one such option.

We are still in the early stages of [blockchain](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/blockchain) and cryptocurrency.  The reality is we have not scratched the surface in terms of innovation.  This applies to a lot more than just the technical aspects.

Ultimately, we are talking about building a sustainable [economy](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-economy).  The group that does that will find themselves in a powerful position.  Also, I would expect that, eventually, the [token](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) [price](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-price) will reflect that.

## Microblogging

It is no secret that [microblogging](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-microblogging) is something that the Leofinance team is working hard on.  We know a new [front end](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-front-end) is being developed which will make [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads) the focal point.  This is important because microblogging is one of the major use cases of the [Internet](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-internet).  While many of us love long-form content, the reality is this does not include most people.

The average online user is not going to write 750 word articles.  Hell most people won't even read posts of that length.  Here is where microblogging enters.

We are excited for this because of the potential.  If we can achieve a [Twitter](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-twitter)-like feel, then it has the opportunity to be a massive success.  Please bear in mind that "success" does not mean a hundred million users.  If we think about it, even 100K over a period of time would be a major win.

Does LeoThreads have this potential?  I certainly believe so.  If we can get hundreds of thousands of threads going per day, there will be enough activity to kick off the [network effect](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-network-effect).  It is simply a matter of getting the numbers going.

[Transactions](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-transaction) do matter and activity is crucial.  This is something that LeoThreads can help to generate.

## Sustainable Economy

Leofinance has a few different ventures going.  This might seem counterintuitive but this is exactly what [Web 3.0](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-web-3-0) needs.  Many prefer single focus and, in many instances, that is a good idea.  However, when dealing with an organic [ecosystem](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem-digital), it is good to go in a many different directions at the same time.

The key is to get enough people involved in the different projects to keep them progressing forward.

Ultimately, the goal is to build a sustainable economy.  Listening to the last couple of AMAs, it is obvious Khal has a few ideas how to go about this.  Part of the delay is the fact that [infrastructure](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-infrastructure-computer) within the industry (and [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive)) still needs to be built.  However, the fact that he is thinking about things, along with other people, is crucial.

A sustainable economy means that the token that is tied to the overall value, in this case [LEO](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo), can see an increase over time.  Unlike those who simply mess with distribution, this is [business](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-business) building that can capture the network effects, commerce, and other [financial](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-finance) attributes that are brought to the platform.

In short, it is an opportunity to build one's business on here.  People simply need to step up and start the process.  It is going to require experimentation and testing. 

All of this feeds into LBI.  The [wallet](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-wallet) is growing, especially since [dividends](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-dividend) were suspended (I believe).  Having a larger [stake](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-staking) is only going to enhance the overall holdings of the project, making it even more powerful once the [bull](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bull-market) returns.

For those who got involved with LBI, it is tough to weather the bear.  But that is where the big [money](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money) is made.
