## <center>Background</center>

I joined the blockchain back in 2017, back before the hardfork that created the awesomeness that is Hive and back when a little thing called *Steemit* was actually cool. Its hard to believe, but there was a time when that was actually the case. 

Of course, that was before Steemit was bought (or taken over, sorry I don't know the exact details) by Justin Sun and everything went to shit. 

### Sun basically turned something great into a "steemit" pile of crap.

Anyway, a really good thing was ruined

so I left. 

I left to find something better and that something happened to be Hive.

I have no regrets over the decision either. 

### None whatsoever. 

Hive has been amazing! It's been a fun way to earn crypto of course, even lucrative.  But most importantly, the community is great.

I feel like I've made some good friends.

Internet friends, but real nonetheless. 

I think it's pretty cool reading their blog posts each day and learning what's been going on in their lives. It's like being a part of their lives.

I stumbled upon the blogging on the blockchain idea while I was in university around the time that I first discovered crypto. 

### I saw it as an opportunity and figured it would be a good way to earn a little money on the side while I completed my studies.

Like many people, my blog was a bit of an experiment in the begining. I spent some time getting my feet wet and seeing what worked 

### and what didn't. 

I happened to be in university at the time studying psychology and I mostly wrote about whatever happened to interest me - mostly philosophy, deep dives into film and music analysis, and some ponderings and musings of my general ideas.

I'm originally from Canada but I moved to France back in 2019 for a temporary expat adventure and my blog has since morphed into a sort of dedicated travel diary.

Yeah my blog was very different back, probably for a lot of reasons - Lack of travel material to write about and an educational mindset made me want to write about more serious topics. But it was a lot, a lot of (x2) work and for very little pay off. Hive has been a 100 times better.

On a more serious note, I think he needs some more toothie-brushing. It will save you a lot of headaches in the long run; having to put them under to remove tartar is really a big risk and it's EXPENSIVE - much more so than a cleaning product.

I can recommend HexoCare by Alfavet. I get it on Amazon, stands to reason, it's available on Amazon France as well. I believe 15.00 EUR for a large 50 ml bottle that lasts forever and a day.

It's a non-prescription gel with a fresh taste and a bit of catnip in it, so animals love it. The great thing about it is, you don't need a brush. Just put some on your fingertip and massage gently over teeth and gums. Done.

The toilet photo is actually an old photo of when I bought my condo in Canada and did some renovations. That was like 5-6 years ago now. I just thought it was funny. 

My wife always tells me that the dog is the money maker lol.

That dental product sounds good. I like that you don't have to brush the teeth. My wife does brush his teeth, but not often enough. Maybe like once or twice a month. We do need to get better at that. The dental treats don't really do a lot either I'm finding.

No, they don't. They're a waste of money. You can give cheap dog biscuits as a treat, they do more. I find ration style dry food helps, with wet food only once in a while in between. It makes them chew more and contains crude ash to act as a polishing agent. Just be sure to give PLENTY of water or it creates kidney problems in older dogs.

With our little one, a can of Cesar is so special, it makes him feel like Xmas. Of course, he gets enough table scraps (which aren't really good for him) so as not to be starved for treats. You know, when they give you "the face", and you can't resist...
