# What Is Copywriting?

Copywriting is a method of writing to promote your products. This is not limited to website, brochures, catalogs, advertising, business cards, sales letters and much more. Copywriting is to attract your existing and potential customer to take a particular action. For example:
- Contact your for more information
- Place an order 
- Sign up for the newsletter or email list
- Required them to invite their friends to our business

A lot of business founders always assume that copywriting is not that important. Which is why there some of their products will get a low sales of volume. If you are reading this, this will helps you to understand why copywriting is so important in our business.

As our technology keep growing rapidly, blockchain becomes an essential and play an important part in an online business role. Every product will have a target market. A target market is a group of specific people that you want to sell your product to them. When we use target marketing, we will need a specific range of statistics in numbers or group such as age, salary, interest, location, and marital status. 

Another important of target marketing is to understand what really motivates a customer to spend their money and buy the products. Therefore, we need to understand what is their immediate needs and what will drive them to buy a product with the money they have. In addition, we need to understand is your product is solving their problem they need. 

The psychologist has identified human motivation based on emotional behavior that will drive them to take an action. This is included in the feeling of:
- Pleasure
- Exclusivity
- Convenience
- Need for approval
- Greed
- Guilt
- Fear

Some of us may think is this an unethical method to use in order to get your potential customer but reality this will help them to solve their existing problem.

The better you understand your target market, the easier we are able to sell the product to them. You need to put yourself in your customer shoes and look it from their point-of-view. Identify what is the real problem they have and what are the best solution we can come out with a product to solve their problem.

## Unspecific Of Problem
The common mistake made by a small business owner is they are too vague. They want a product which targets everyone to buy one. The same problem occurs to a business owner who just wants to sell their product just to female only in general without identifying their specific target markets such as age, salary, or marital status.  

For example, a business owner who sell cosmetics simply says their target is female only. The major problem here is not all female love or can afford to buy cosmetics. 

Children also can be female. They do know how what is cosmetics and do not have the money to buy it as well. Female elderly who use makeup in their young age may no longer interested in cosmetics and their needs may focus on more healthcare products. The female working adult who knows about cosmetics does not mean they will buy cosmetics if they love the natural beauty of them. 

You need to understand who are the women that need your product and will able to buy it over and over again.

## Specific Your Typical Customer
What is she wants and desires? What problems does she need to solve? If you do not know that, try to do a survey with your existing customer to understand what they really want. 

Create a survey to gather the information such as their age, gender, salary range and budget to spend on a product. You may also add the question to understand why they want to buy the product and what they like or dislike about the product they bought.

In return, you may give a discount voucher for their next purchase or a simple souvenir such as goody bag. This information can be very valuable for your next products or to improve of your product too.
