When it comes to questions regarding hate speech, which I still demand remain outside of the language of USA law, I think Sam Harris posed an interesting question:

**Do the people who commit honor killings against their children love their kids as much as we do?**

People oversimplify hate. What's more, yes, I can think that parents who kill their kids because they're gay or otherwise sexually promiscuous, may genuinely love their kids.
 
It should go without saying that I'm in no way defending honor killings; but, just to be safe, don't take this the wrong way.

For those who haven't read the texts, for the most part, the sin is regarded as the action rather than the desire.

It's entirely possible for a father who loves his son while having warped values may kill his son upon his son saying that he's gay out of the belief that, if his son acted on his desires, he'd burn in Hell for eternity.

Not every bad idea is built out of hate. Really, very few of them are.

Bad ideas come from--well--other bad ideas. They come from bad moral thinking. They come from ideas like: there are no moral facts; and, everything is relative.

I'm genuinely not all that concerned about hate. I'm concerned more about separatism, identity politics, and intersectionality. That's where we start murdering people en masse.
