The Conjuring movie series proved to be the most successful and magnificent horror series of the past few decades. I enjoyed watching all three of them. It has proved to be sincere and I like the honesty about this series. This is the first U.S. court case in which the defendant pleaded not guilty of murder because of demonic possession and supernatural causes.

**Plot summary:** 
A demon possesses David Glatzel, an 8 year old child. Arne who is the boyfriend of David's sister, promises David that he wont let nothing bad happen to him, tells the demon to take him instead. No one sees this exchange except Ed, who has a heart attack before he can tell Lorraine. They realize that a witch has cursed them and  is controlling the demon to make Arne who is in prison waiting for his sentence to commit suicide. The only way to stop all this is to destroy the witch's altar. They go underground of a house that belongs to John Noble, it turns out that the witch is his daughter. The witch makes Ed possessed by a blowing a sort of black sand into his eyes to make him mad to kill Lorrain and Lorrain makes him remember who he is and makes him feel her love for him, and he destroys the witches altar. The demon who wants a soul, takes the witch's soul and kills her.

# What I loved about this movie?

This movie is based on a true story of the trial of Arne Johnson from 1981.It was the first recorded example of supernatural forces, demonic possession used in a legal defense strategy. It is mentioned that the U.K have used this strategy in 2 cases but they were unsuccessful.

# What I hated about this movie?

There was not so much that I hated. Hate is a strong word, what I disliked was that the relationship between Lorrain and Ed was not as intriguing as the previous conjuring movies. You could feel the strong chemistry between them, the intensity in their behavior shown through the dangers they go through in the supernatural world. The fact that the character of Ed and Lorrain are based on actual people makes this movie series more fun to watch, thus seeing  Ed go through a heart attack and at the end trying to kill Lorrain with an ax was something that I didn't like about this movie.

# Any scene that still pops into your mind?

Actually two scenes I think are connected together, its about saving each other, Ed saves Lorrain from her sensitivity, from the edge of a cliff and Lorrain saves Ed from his anger, by making him remember their love together, making him destroy the altar with the ax and removing the influence of the witch. In this movie, we see that sacrifice out of love proves to be the solution to ultimately remove the devil's influence on the lives involved. 

Also, I think Ed's heart condition is  kind of foreshadows that the devil or the dark side will slowly taking over the love bond they have.

# What part of it did you find most interesting?

I like the reference scene at the beginning  to the movie Exorcism (1973) and I liked that they opened it with the exorcism of the child (although it was repetitive and expected) it proves once again that demons attack the most innocent or weak, and they go from there until all the members of the family are involved with the pain the demons cause them.

Also, I found the desperation and regret of the past actions in the character of John Noble pretty interesting. He seems to have a past similar to Ed and Lorrain dabbling his hands in demons and how to fight them. It stirred up my curiosity to know more about his past and why his daughter became such a monster, how did she become the opposite of his father, a witch. What overall happened in their relationship between father and daughter. I think in the next movie, they will tell the story of John Noble, or at least say more about him, because he is new to the audience. 

The fight between two woman, the witch and Lorrain was also interesting to me, they are opposites one present the light and the other is the darkness.

# Why do you think it's significant and great ?

I think it was fun to watch, in that regard I can say it was great. It didn't bore me like the rest of the horror movies I watched. Also, I think this movie has layers of meaning, and it is not some pointless horror movie.
