Words have lives
maybe even more than us
who would doubt how many things they do,
there are words that embrace you,
like they've known you forever
others are much more abrupt,
they hook you like a hook,
there are those that surround you with smoke,
maybe a very thick mist,
then you lose yourself
speaking of the vaporous smoke
there are those that burn you,
are words of fire
arsonists and incendiaries,
some are so high-sounding,
that cause discomfort
there are those rude and explicit,
that we like to say them or hear them in the ear,
let's not leave out the most used
the liars,
although interested and transactional ones are more so,
the worst are the violent ones,
they attack you without restraint,
there are sadists who enjoy making you suffer,
there are feminist words,
or failing that macho,
although not all act like this,
irreverently and untimely,
there are those that caress you,
those who pamper you tenderly,
those soft as velvet,
since creation there are the paradisiacal ones,
or its counterpart the infernal ones,
There is a word for almost everything.
They are perfect like God's timing,
they swarm under the sun,
They are born as children and are launched into the world,
like the decadent man,
their birth rate has dropped
nice word,
holy word,
cursed word,
infallible and omnipresent,
although nothing lasts forever,
I don't know what will happen to you tomorrow
maybe they will extinguish you one day,

Tienen vidas las palabras,
quizás hasta más que nosotros,
quién dudaría cuantas cosas hacen,
hay palabras que te abrazan,
como si te conocieran desde siempre,
otras son mucho más bruscas,
te enganchan como garfio,
están las que te envuelven con humo,
quizás una neblina muy espesa,
entonces te pierdes,
hablando del vaporoso humo
están esas que te queman,
son palabras de fuego,
piromaniacas e incendiarias,
alguna son tan altisonantes,
que producen incomodidad,
están esas groseras y explícitas,
que nos gusta decirlas o escucharlas en el oído,
no dejemos por fuera las más usadas
las mentirosas,
aunque más lo son las interesadas y transaccionales,
las peores son las violentas,
te agreden sin contención,
existen las sádicas que gozan haciéndote sufrir,
hay palabras feministas,
o en su defecto machistas,
aunque no todas actúan así,
de forma irreverente e intempestiva,
existen esas que te acarician,
las que te miman con ternura,
esas suaves como el terciopelo,
desde la creación están las paradisíacas,
o su contraparte las infernales,
para casi todo existe una palabra,
son perfectas como el tiempo de Dios,
bullen bajo el sol,
nacen como niños y se lanzan al mundo,
al igual que el decadente hombre,
han bajado su tasa de natalidad,
grata palabra,
santa palabra,
malnacida palabra,
infaltable y omnipresente,
aunque nada dura para siempre,
no sé qué pasará contigo mañana,
acaso te extinguirán algún día,
o bajarás del cielo hecha carne,
quizá tú futuro es de ciencia ficción,
y no serás transmitida por cuerdas vocales,
más bien a través de sistemas digitales o cuánticos,
o en cualquier otra forma inimaginable,
seguramente las llamaremos neopalabras,
mientras las viejas palabras reposarán en museos,
dentro de libros y caducos dispositivos,
cómo vestigios de una época arcaica,
que ya no volverá. </div><P/>
