Help me please: What do I need for a (simple) bot?

Hi all!

For quite some time now I have thought we need a bit more random friendliness on the steem chain.  Or just nice things finding you without you having to search for it. 

That means a bot.

Maybe you know from the “introduceyourself” category that there are bots saying hello to everyone with a comment. 

I want to do something similar, a bot that randomly upvotes people’s posts (who already got several votes to prevent voting for spammers) and leaves one of a series of comments. 

If someone with bot experience can tell me what I need and perhaps even point me to something I can use, that would be great!

I don't think the chain needs more bot spam. 
What steem needs are serious interactions...and less automation.
Uptopian has quite a few tutorials on how to write your bot with PHP or Javascript.

how do you do serious interactions with posts you don't see while also having no time?

Yes, more interaction would be nice, especially the serious kind. But not many people do this.

I know you post a lot of thoughtful stuff on your blog. Think about what value you add by posting automatic comments on posts that are supposed to be read by humans. 
If you don't spend the time to read other peoples posts don't comment on them. Simple Rule. 

Everything else is more or less spam. 90% of it aims to only help the comment spammer, do you really think that those comment spammers that post on the welcome post of new users do really help them? Most of them are only designed to convert the new user as a follower.

What value adds an automated comment to a post? It would be of AI scale to create value. On the other side it includes a high risk of being downvoted or marked as spam. by others.

You need Python Programming experience but with this Library it should be easier than with others. Im not a Programmer, but i was reading about it because im interested. ;)

But i also think that @drmake has good aguments. Creating Bots should only be done if it really adds value and this seems to be a hard task and needs smart Programmers with ethical values.
