Introducing Leo Alpha

A few weeks ago, @khaleelkazi started a new theme for posts he called LeoAlpha.  You can read his initial idea in [this post](https://leofinance.io/@khaleelkazi/leoalpha-a-new-series).  This project is being expanded and built into what we hope will become a key selling point for Leofinance, and a major driver of traffic to the site.

## About me.

Firstly, this account, and project, is being set up and run by @jk6276.  I've been in touch with Khal, and he has tasked me with building out the "Leo Alpha" idea into a more formalized project.  For those that don't know me, I have been blogging here on Leofinance since the very start of the project, and on Hive for over 3 1/2 years.  Personally, I am delighted to take on this role, and looking forward to doing my best to build Leo Alpha into a great driver of growth and visibility for the [LeoFinance](https://leofinance.io/) site.

## How can you get involved?

We are looking for great content, deep dives, detailed guides and walkthrough's and insight into crypto projects that will set [LeoFinance](https://leofinance.io/) apart.  Anyone can produce #leoalpha content, however we would ask that using the tag be restricted to in depth, detailed posts and content.  For some examples of the type of content we are after, check @khaleelkazi's recent posts on Thorchain.  The point of LeoAlpha is to highlight the fantastic community of crypto people, and focus on the Alpha that people can get here on Leofinance.  If you bought RUNE, for example, when this community first learned about it, you would have done very very well. Tapping in to the communities collective knowledge, and distilling that into a series of in depth, detailed content.

I am looking to gather a small team (just a few people to begin with) of proven content creators to co-ordinate with and plan how the Leo Alpha project develops.  If you feel you would like to help me build this out, hit me up here or inbox me on discord (jk6276#1893).  I am planning to produce a weekly highlights post from this account, which will showcase the best LeoAlpha content each week.

Long story short, LeoAlpha's goal is to build a body of evergreen content that will bring traffic to Leofinance, from external sources, and build engagement with the communities we write about. Long term, we hope for Leofinance to become a must visit site for people to learn about crypto projects, in detail.  This will hopefully lead in to some business development with the communities.  To quote Khal from our conversations:
>  ... business development with projects (i.e. allowing projects like Thorchain, etc. to see that our community creates great content about them, then inviting them for collaboration in various forms - come on the podcast, share their blog posts on leofinance.io, etc.) 

This project will feed in to the "community pages" concept, which is on the roadmap for Leofinance once the work on the mobile apps winds down.

I've set up a new [Twitter account](https://twitter.com/LeoAlpha2021).  This account will share and retweet the best #leoalpha content.  Be sure to give it a follow. If you have any ideas or suggestions for this project, hit me up.  If you would like to work with me on this, let me know.  The #leoalpha tag will be watched closely, and "generously" curated by @leo.voter.  That said, please don't just add LeoAlpha to every post, it is meant to be for the best content on Leo.

It's a good plan and even if you can make it know as a place to post content about existing projects it will open up a lot of other avenues to drive traffic to the site.

Good content can be used in the newsletter and even reaching out to projects across crypto to see if they would like to post to the community where it will get a lot of exposure to to a large and interested userbase.

It can start with the community doing the legwork but if it works and creates a hub for crypto content then it would not take much to get projects coming to us rather than chasing them.

Great idea! I don't think I have proven myself as a content creator just yet but hopefully in the future I'll be able to "claim" that tile and contribute to this great initiative.

It can take a while to get the hang of content creation, it's definitely not an easy skill to master.  A great way to see what we are looking for will be to follow the posts we highlight, and get a feel for what we are looking for.

It took me 3 years before I really felt like I knew what I was doing here.
