Threadcasts have become one of the greatest use cases on INLEO. This coincides with X Spaces gaining more traction - especially in the crypto space.

INLEO has onboarded 2 influencers to become INLEO Ambassadors on X. They now run weekly Threadcasts with their X Spaces which collectively have hundreds to thousands of weekly participants actively listening and engaging with the influencers on X.

These influencers are doing these spaces and regularly plugging INLEO and the live threadcasts during their spaces. 

This prompts their audience on X to engage with them live on the Threadcast. The INLEO team then jumps in and upvotes the replies, allowing them to earn HIVE & LEO rewards for engaging.

As we mature this process, we're going to see tons of new signups to Hive through our LeoInfra Lite Account onboarding protocol. 

We're already seeing a massive spike in sign ups. Now the key is to retain those users and show them why INLEO and Hive is a valuable place to spend time in their Web3 journey. 

## Live Threadcasts

What is a Threadcast? In case you've been living under a rock and haven't seen, we built Threadcasts which are a live chat feature on INLEO.

It leverages Threads to create a real-time chatting feature diectly on the UI. On the backend, all of the Threads are comments on the Hive blockchain.

This means that all engagement is eligible for upvotes and is also indexed on the Hive blockchain. Threadcasts were just a random idea from the team and we had no idea that it would take off in the way that it did.

Threadcasts now sometimes get over 1,000 comments in a single live session. That's 1,000 comments on the Hive blockchain. 1,000 real-time pieces of engagement. The host of the live show can then upvote the comments and read questions / engage with users live on air.

We use threadcasts for the weekly INLEO AMA and get hundreds of questions per week from all of you. We read and engage with you live on the X Space / YouTube Live Stream but reading from the INLEO Threadcast like a Live Chatroom.

I think the best comparison is to Twitch Live Chatting. It's very similar to that in certain ways and we hope to see streamers and live podcasts start to leverage threadcasts more.

There are also tons of other potential use cases for Threadcasts. Whenever you want to chat with other people live about any event whatsoever, you could do it in a Threadcast.

Some users have started creating threadcasts for live sporting events, for example.

We aim to improve the threadcast features and make it even more engaging and fun to be in a Threadcast. We believe these will be one of the #1 onboarding points for new users to HIVE and INLEO. 

They're fun, engaging and rewarding for users.

## Live Threadcasts

This brings us to today's update. Many of you have been asking for a **Threadcast Scheduler**

The problem we're aiming to solve is that it can be hard to know who is live on a Threadcast, when and where the link for it is.

Up until now, you had to kind of know that a Threadcast was coming and follow the author... waiting for the link to be posted on X or elsewhere.

Now, Threadcasts are literally unmissable.

The design of Live Threadcasts is similar to Instagram Stories. At the top of the feed, you'll now see the hosts of Live Threadcasts. Clicking on any of their profile images will take you right into the Live Threadcast that they're hosting.

When someone engages with a Threadcast, they also get a bubble around their username. 

Anywhere on the UI that they comment, make a thread, blog post, etc. their username will be lit up for the duration of that Threadcast.

So now you can see:
1. who is hosting a Live Threadcast
2. who is actively participating in a Live Threadcast

## Live on Labs

You can test this feature today on https://labs.inleo.io.

The parameters for launching a live Threadcast on the homepage are lowered for testing purposes but the live parameters are as follows. Note that anyone can launch a threadcast but certain parameters must be met for it to get promoted to a **Live Threadcast** where it is visible on the homepage:
1. Must be hosted by a Premium member
2. Must have at least 15 comments
3. Expires after 12 hours
4. Host has Minimum Hive rep score of 40

We will likely tweak these parameters as we get more testing of the feature. It's important to have solid filtering - as we discussed in a recent AMA.

Without good filtering, we'd see a lot of spam threadcasts aiming to get extra attention. We've implemented these basic rules to hopefully filter for quality threadcasts. If we notice someone abusing this system somehow, we may create a blacklist of people who can't push their threadcast to the homepage (but note, they can always run a threadcast. It just won't get promoted). 

Go try it and give us some #feedback! We also just released a bunch of bug fixes. Our own full Hive node and a bunch of other bug fixes are going to get rolled out over the weekend.
