Hey Lions! After a few weeks of development and testing, Threads V2 is officially LIVE!

We spent the last few days remedying the updates and ensuring it is adapted smoothly to the UI. This was a dramatic overhaul, so we appreciate your patience as we worked out the kinks of the past weekend.

Threads V2 introduces an entirely new caching layer for INLEO. The focus of the update was on scalability and performance.

You'll find Threads to be far faster and smoother now that the update is live. These are some critical infrastructure updates that bring a vastly improved User Experience. 

## Scalability

Scalability was a core focus in this update. As many of you know, we're working with the Dash Team to integrate our INLEO Lite Account Protocol for the Hive Blockchain. This will allow the entire Dash community to instantly login to INLEO using only their Dash Wallet Address. 

We expect a massive influx in users from this integration and will be working closely with the Dash team to ensure its success. 

We've also recently partnered with 3 Memecoin communities. Memecoins have gained a massive foothold in the crypto markets and stand as some of the strongest communities out there.

These 3 partnerships along with the Dash integration mark a new era for INLEO onboarding. We're currently at **an all-time high for monthly active users (MAUs) on the INLEO Platform**. This is just the beginning and we expect to 5x the user base thanks to these key integrations and partnerships.

With that, we'll need the scalability of our infrastructure in place to handle all these new users and engagement. 

INLEO already accounts for nearly 1/3rd of all comments on the Hive blockchain. We expect this to grow exponentially in the coming weeks and months. 

Threads V2 introduces significant infrastructure overhauls in order to handle this surge in activity. 

## Performance

- Profile
- Feeds

You'll notice a radical increase in performance across the platform. Two of the most notable off the bat will be Profile and Feeds.

Try clicking your Profile or going to the home Feed and you'll see the vastly improved performance of them. 

We've run a lot of A/B tests in order to get to this level of performance. It literally loads as fast as Web2 in many cases. 

We'll be testing the new infra on these pages and then rolling it out to the other pages of the UI as we find them to be successful and continue to tweak the backend. 

## Features

This update is extremely backend focused. That being said, we did roll a few new features into this update as they were relatively easy side quests along the way. 

- Responsive Back Button
- Rethread Redesign
- Premium Indicator

**Responsive Back Button**

The Responsive Back Button - aka a back button that actually works - is something I've wanted to do for a while now. The problem was that we needed this new Threads V2 infrastructure in place in order to make it work well. 

Now that we have it, I'm excited to unveil a *Back Button That Actually Works*.

Try it by going to the Latest or Trending feed, scrolling down to any thread, clicking on it and then clicking the back button.

You'll see that Threads V2 takes you right back to the exact place in the feed that you were before. This is a dramatic quality of life improvement. 

**Rethread Redesign**

We made Rethreads a uniform design. This provides a much cleaner user experience. We found that - especially Threads with images - some threads would clog the feed and look terrible. This new rethread design offers a cleaner look.

**Premium Indicator**

We also released the 1st step of the new Premium Indicator.

This advertises premium to any logged-in user who **isn't currently Premium**. 

As I said, this is the 1st step. We'll also be adding this indicator when a user's premium is getting close to expiring.

For example: "48 hours left in your premium, resubscribe now!"

With this, we'll also add the ability to add time to your premium clock. Right now, you have to wait for expiration before renewing.

As I mentioned, this is a backend-heavy update. It is meant to bring vastly improved scalability and performance in order to get us ready for the next few thousand monthly active users who join INLEO.

We're at all-time highs in Monthly Active Users but this is just the beginning. We need to be ready for 10k+ highly active and engaged new Hivers to be on INLEO. Threads V2 ensures that we are ready.
