The recent [Cryptomaniacs Podcast](https://leofinance.io/@jongolson/uqxvexva) got me thinking about #ProjectBlank again.  It's obviously not going to be called Project "Blank" (although I've been using that name for so long it's starting to grow on me), but what will it be called?

I thought it would be fun to come up with some suggestions to help @khaleelkazi figure out what to name it when the time comes (pretty sure he's already got it figured out, but this could be fun).

My suggestion would be Project **Panthera**, or just **Panthera**.  Here's why:  [One big cat!!](https://www.thoughtco.com/cave-lion-1093066)

Anyone else have some cool ideas?  Cheap, easy comments here...lol

## SPT Payouts Not Working

SPT payouts have been not working for one week now. The change from tribes to the new outpost format has created some sort of side-effect, that stopped all new SPT creation. Today we got the first new posts getting their payouts from the Splintertalk outpost but they also haven't paid out and now show suddenly 0 SPT payout, after crossing the 7 day payout window. 

Eonwarped mentioned that there will be a backfill eventually but what that exactly means for the past and future payouts is not clear to me. 

@monster-curator payouts will automatically continue when we get our first curation rewards again.

I agree with you.  In fact, the entire movie industry is likely to collapse.

The gaming companies are going to be the ones to take over that avenue.  They will create "movies" that people actually engage in.

**NVIDIA** is one of the companies at the forefront of all of this.  In fact, most of the chip makers have a vested interest.  For me, when the company is talking about this, it shows they are likely to be a player in the future.

Intel is oddly quiet on it.

Most have no clue.  In fact, if you look at many companies, they still are not even truly utilizing the Internet.

Those that do, like Tesla and Elon Musk, are going to lap the field.

The companies that truly grasp what is taking place are going to be worth trillions of dollars down the road.

Wow!  That was a long read but very worth it.  The examples used really do showcase the **"exponential gap"** in our society, and the world in general right now.  Thank goodness we are all in crypto NOW, rather than 5 years from now.  We all have the opportunity to benefit from the exponential gap rather than get left behind.  And HIVE is literally the PERFECT place to be.

While many of us don't have a lot of money, we DO have time.  And in an **exponential age**, that is worth every bit as much as the money.

It's funny but during the flash crash, robinhood was the only one who wasn't having much issues on crypto purchases. I heard quite a few people had problems with Coinbase, Webull and a few others.

Only took a seriously hard flash crash to correct it. The peg for sure is not working right now by a long shot. A harder sell off would have sent it below $1 and if we have a big rally again count it back up to $1.30 in no time. Still has far too many wild swings for it to be considered a stable coin or backed dollar. (Side note I don't like that HBD BD stands for backed dollar SEC is going to take one look at that and be all over it)

Gaming is definitely going to be one of the drivers of crypto and blockchain technology!

I really do not foresee a CBDC happening with the USD.  That is something that is not really needed.  

Plus, it is very difficult to get that to happen considering more than half the physical USD is outside the country.

As the reserve currency, the dollar operates in a different manner than other fiat.  I expect it will be resisted since it really doesnt serve much purpose.

Plus the Fed cannot interact with the populous accounts directly so the law would have to be changed and Congress cannot agree if peanut butter goes with jelly right now.

Many are proposing that we are going to need big advancements in **edge computing** to make it viable.  Latency is going to be an issue for many things, hence the need to utilize computing close to the source.

It is really wild how much is going to have to go into all of this.  A lot of moving parts.

Without a doubt.  We are really in the situation where the centralized entities are trying to push the **Metaverse** in their image.  This is a phase we are going to have to go through.

The "exponential gap" is coming.  The thing is, even the countries that try to regulate it are going to be way ahead of the game compared to countries that don't get involved at all.  As you say, development will outpace regulation by a large margin.  There's just no way for big, clunky, OLD, legacy-funded governments to move fast enough to quash it.  These governments and countries are going to have economies that thrive in spite of trying to cut of their noses to spite their faces.

All the buzz I was hearing about the nation which immediately follows El Salvador was for Paraguay or even Nigeria.  It was Ukraine which became #2.  For me, Ukraine flew under the radar.  If El Slavador generated the FUD it did, Ukraine will generate FUD x 100.

I like Mark Cuban and I think he's actually going to be good for crypto, but the guy needs to educate himself fully about what he's talking about.

He seems to me to be someone who knows just enough to be dangerous and not enough to actually know what he's talking about.

His biggest problem is probably hubris, derived from the billions of dollars he accidentally made on his company.  He just doesn't seem to know what he doesn't know.

Yeah, the term is being used now in a way that is unclear. To me, this term means the inter-connection of games and apps through blockchain technology. In Splinterlands it can represent a new game within the Splinterlands-universe. Also, there can be another game outside that universe which still uses assets from Splinterlands. Ultimately we might see games that use assets from dozens of other successful games and integrate them in their own, creating a mutual benefit for all games involved.

I think it has more to deal with the amount of users and activity on chain. I don't think the flash crash destroyed that and you need HIVE for both HP and resource credits to play splinterlands.

A lot of interest in Hive right now and people are getting a bit in their wallet, even if just to play some @splinterlands.
