If the crypto becomes regulated, do you think govt and the banks would crack down on swaps?

When you say swaps, do you mean the on/off ramps from fiat to crypto?

If so, then yes, this is the only real aspect of cryptocurrency that governments are able to regulate.

Will they ban these on/off ramps?

No.

As you know, there are many governments and different fiat currencies all around the world. 

There will never be a time where all on/off ramps are regulated to the point where it's illegal.

The smart, progressive governments will see the advantage of regulation that actually facilitates the crypto industry to build in their jurisdiction.

Technology, money, jobs etc etc.

Dane, I just published and linked "What is Cardano (ADA) used for?". Not much there for current uses, but the immediate future uses...infinite! I actually went out and bought a little bit of this for my own account today. The potential is there.

I know Esemee covered the Ethereum comparison subsection (I'm glad I convinced her to step up and tackle this - I hope she continues to contribute).

Anyway, what's left? Let's get this one done so we can move on. I have some available time. Let me know please!

And I have a suggestion for the next section - Solana (I hate to say this as I know nothing about it). A lot of people are talking about it and I believe they have a large airdrop upcoming - something to do with Osmosis, but I don't know details. Just a suggestion boss.

We can certainly hope so. Even if Splinterlands is the magnet, just maybe people will look around and like what they see. If we get 10 to 15% of the Splinterlands sign-ups to trickle down and become active general HIVE users (contributors), it will be a significant accomplishment.

I believe they have no choice. You literally are in violation of the law because it's impossible to collect this information on people. Instead of raising money with this bill their short sightedness has instead crushed revenue from cryptocurrency.

Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.  Given the uncertain times in which we find ourselves, I don't understand why they're all in a losing streak.  Market manipulation is the only reason I can think of, but not including that I don't know why they've been losing for a while.

Perhaps the **inflation** picture people espouse about doesnt hold merit.

The flight for safety doesn't happen if the threat isn't there.

Inflation pressures are already starting to subside.  In a few month we will have a lot of talk about the weakening of the economy.

There is no way that 2,700+ pages of legislation for one bill gets written during the current legislative session.  Something that massive was written long ago and waiting in the wings for the right moment to be presented.  The best examples of this are the current so-called "infrastructure" legislation package and the USA PATRIOT Act passed in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

If it takes a long time for someone (or even someone's staff) to read the proposed legislation, it takes an even longer time to prepare the thing after taking yet more time to do the research for it.  This detail is never taught in any classes of history, civics, or social studies.
