 The above butterflies in the photo belongs to a species known as Zizeeria. The common name is blue grass. They can be found flying over parks, gardens, meadows and so on. They are mainly distributed over India but sometimes they find their way into nearby neighbouring countries like Nepal. I think they probably migrate through the forest of Nepal in border with India in the south.   The [butterfly](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1226861517307835) has also been used as a basis to assess the health of radiation affected environment in one of the major nuclear disaster in Japan. There seems to be some modifications in butterflies body parts like wings, hindlegs and so on due to the genetic changes caused by radioactive substance present there.
