VIEW FROM CHAUTARI

Chautari is basically a tree of Ficus religiosa made by building wall just below the tree which is used mostly for resting purpose. "Chautari" is a Nepali word, that was popular in village during the past. The villagers used to build this from place to place where farmers, workers, traders and other visitors could rest because there were no means of transportation in such place- all covered by hills. See my second picture. This is the view of my locality from this Chautari. I live in one of those houses๐Ÿ˜…

Kathmandu being a village during ancient time, Chautaris were built from place to place. Especially they are made at height from where you can see beautiful view. I wish I had my house opposite to the Chautari.
