This post originated from an online "chat (txt) between myself and @ilian90, and thanks to him for giving me an opportunity to post more than My "Digital Art".

The original dialog was concerning,

"Psychedelics and Spirituality".

On this post I wish to examine some of the actual effects of Psychedelics -
without being too specific - as in this area - they are the same for the most part, remembering Cannabis is a "Mild Psychedelic" and does not have the punch of the others. I would call it the Beer of the Psychedelic world with

"LSD-25" the Champagne.

So back to "Time"...

In the Psychedelic realm (and really any other as well) Time Perception is the actual effect that you the will notice the most - about anything.

For example,

If you are using any Psychedelic, the first thing you will notice is that your optical perception of your reality has changed. This can be audio as well.

This change in optical perception is due to you getting closer to "NOW".

I will explain,
The average human has an "eye shutter rate" somewheres around 340 frames per second.

That is your time - "speed". That is the rate you perceive reality. Although that seems comfortable, it is not "NOW".

At the 340 (avg.), You live your life behind because - "reality runs faster than that". This is something that most do not get correctly.

Some even feel that Psychedelics slow down time, and that's why you see trails, and blurring..

That is a wrong idea, though it makes some sense considering what people are taught.

The fact of the matter is this...

Normally your mind is so slow it skips over things in a never ending battle to "catch-up" to now.

With Psychedelics, you see "All The Frames", because Your mind is moving fast enough to observe them. It looks like "blurring", and yes your mind is still not running fast enough, but faster than normal - so you catch frames in-between your normal perception.

This effect works with everything, optics, sound, and thinking.
Most who have experimented in this area will know exactly what I am speaking about.

This effect amongst other areas has a great influence on Art, of all kinds -
And Spirituality.

So it works like this...

Optically you get a bump up to at least a good 420 frames per second, in some cases quite a bit more.

Since your frame rate is up, you have an ability to observe the world around you in "Stunning Detail"!

Some show this in their Artwork, others it may be in writing - "but funny wise" it stays mostly in two areas Art & Spirituality.

Those seeking entertainment, are normally stopped by the "Gatekeeper" who hands out the giggles!

Finally I want to mention, after enough trips this can become a constant. Not the full blown version, but a constant taste of it. And can come back if triggered by events and mental state.

Also if you have some knowledge and "bring it back Yourself"... Often still, subconsciously.

So in closing this segment I wish to "Stress"...
Do Not trot out to the Forest and grab a bunch of Muscaria and get high. It does not work that way and may kill YOU.😑
If you are driven to do this, and don't know anyone who has experience...
Go to a pretty public forest and hang around some.. If they "like" you, someone will come along - "Speak With Them"!
