Considerando la situación actual que impera en el mundo, sería propicio que considerara sus metas, ¿Qué esperas de la vida? ¿Son realistas sus expectativas, o sueña con cosas que no están a su alcance? Aunque si bien es cierto que todos debemos procurar mejorar la calidad de nuestra vida, también lo es que debemos hoy más que nunca ser realistas. 

>Considering the current situation that prevails in the world, it would be propitious for us to consider your goals, What do you expect from life? Are your expectations realistic, or do you dream of things that are beyond your reach? Although it is true that we must all strive to improve the quality of our lives, it is also true that today more than ever we must be realistic.  

Debemos tener claro que las metas que no son realistas, como quizas querer ser famosos, grandes riquezas, una salud perfecta o el cónyuge ideal, es muy posible que nos traerán desengaños. Es por tanto necesario tener los pies sobre la tierra cuando nos establezcamos dichas metas. 

>We must be clear that unrealistic goals, such as perhaps wanting to be famous, great wealth, perfect health or the ideal spouse, are very likely to bring us disappointment. It is therefore necessary to keep our feet on the ground when setting such goals.

Por otro lado, los que afortunadamente logran alcanzar una determinada meta, como por ejemplo la de hacerse ricos, puede que todavía ansíen tener más, ya que algunos piensan que al tener dinero, mágicamente eso es sinónimo de felicidad y no es así como funcionan las cosas en la vida real, de allí la importancia de ser cuidadosos a la hora de establecer las metas. 

>On the other hand, those who fortunately manage to achieve a certain goal, such as becoming rich, may still crave for more, since some people think that having money is magically synonymous with happiness and that is not how things work in real life, hence the importance of being careful when setting goals.  

Debemos tener claro también que al fijarnos nuestras metas tenemos que luchar con entusiasmo y ser persistentes para no darnos por vencidos, si al primer intento no lo logramos, debemos seguir intentándolo todas las veces que sean necesarias, no rendirnos con facilidad. 

>We must also be clear that when we set our goals we have to fight with enthusiasm and be persistent not to give up, if at the first attempt we do not achieve it, we must keep trying as many times as necessary, not giving up easily.  

Al fijarnos metas jamás saldremos perdiendo, pues se incrementará nuestra percepción y se refinarán nuestros sentidos, pues estaremos en capacidad de estar atentos a nuevas oportunidades y también obtendremos el autocontrol que es muy necesario para llevar a cabo todas las tareas que nos permitirán alcanzar los objetivos que nos hemos propuesto en la vida. 

>By setting goals we will never lose out, because our perception will increase and our senses will be refined, because we will be able to be aware of new opportunities and we will also gain the self-control that is very necessary to carry out all the tasks that will allow us to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves in life.

Otra situación que debemos tener presente al fijarnos metas, es que si fallamos no tenemos que verlo como algo tan malo y que hay que evitar a toda costa. Más bien los fracasos debemos verlos como una enseñanza que nos aportan el hecho que de esa manera no nos funcionó. Aprendemos de ese fracaso y lo intentamos de otra manera. 

>Another situation that we must keep in mind when setting goals is that if we fail we should not see it as something so bad and to be avoided at all costs. Rather, failures should be seen as a lesson that we learn from the fact that it didn't work out that way. We learn from that failure and try another way.  

Así es que mis queridos Hivers, vamos a fijarnos metas, vamos a poner lo mejor de nosotros para alcanzarlas y con la bendición de Dios y con nuestra férrea voluntad de no desfallecer al primer intento, lo lograremos.
