Hello Fellow Readers
I kinda forgot to prepare a piece for you all to read, so I quickly had to whip one up for you. I hope you enjoy it!

Saita watched as Fledge held his left hand facing outward while his right was making a sweeping movement as if paging through a book. His eyes were closed, and he had a look of intense concentration on his face. Wolven and Rubar were watching him intensely as if they could see what he was paging through.
“It’s like a phonebook.” Said Kay.
“A what now?” Saita looked at her in confusion.
Kay seemed to start a sneer but then thought better of it. She crossed her legs looked up at her twin and said.
“The universes. Each alternative timeline is packed next to each other, like the pages of a phone book. Each one has a unique number. Then there are the different universes that are stacked on top of each other with their own set of alternative timelines. So, a book on top of a book. Or more like a rolodex stacked on top of another.” She then paused. “Or don’t you know what a phonebook is?”
Saita, in fact, wasn’t sure what a phonebook was, but she understood what Kay was trying to explain.
“Fledge is taking the numbers that Bolx gave me and is scanning through the unique energy that matches the frequency, which is the number that is used to locate it. Quite standard for time travellers, or at least, that’s what I assume.”
Fledge grunted in the affirmative but continued with his invisible paging.
Kay yawned with an uncovered mouth and collapsed against the ground within the time corridor. She lay like that for a while before she stole a look toward Saita. The woman averted her gaze almost immediately, knowing that she had been caught.
“We did a lot of fishing.” Admitted Kay.
Saita’s attention snapped back to the Dragon and a frown appeared on her face.
“Bolx wasn’t my type. Too chivalrous and too much of a gentleman. Also, I opted for no partner to ever tie me down. Male or female. It was used and be used.”
This was more than what Saita wanted to know, but Kay continued.
“We’d talk about how I came to be. How I wasn’t saved but was rather a sacrifice every step of the way.” Kay shrugged and looked up at a false ceiling that looked like steely clouds. “And a lot of fishing. You missed out on not going on his small getaways.”
Saita listened, not knowing what to say. She longed to get answers from her husband, but he had long since passed on, and unless she found him once more and asked, she would never know if Kay ever told the truth. The Bolx they were going to rescue hadn’t lived this part of his life yet, and she couldn’t help but wonder how much of what they were doing now actually shaped the friendship that developed between the Dragon and the General.
“This is more complicated than I first thought it would be.” Said Fledge after a while. “Tell me again how Aidan managed this travel.”
“He saw me cut through a time veil before I attacked him, his brother, and Mountain.” Said Red-Eye. “He panicked. Grasped at straws trying to copy my technique and flee.”
Fledge then raised both hands before him and seemed to pull down on the air before him.
“I don’t think he only travelled through time. I think he punched a hole through his universe.”
“Possible.” Said Kay. “He was crazy talented. Even a little of his ability used waywardly could have resulted in a far different outcome.”
Fledge repeated the movement a few times before seemingly grabbing onto something. Both Wolvens’ ears perked up, and their attention were fully on the young man.
“Maybe here? But it’s a partially eaten universe. Not much here.” Fledge started to page through the invisible book once more.
Kay agilely jumped to her feet and came to stand next to Red-Eye. “One of mine?”
“No, but the one before you, before he jumped to your universe, but before your time facing him.”
“Oh, fun, that thing was a beast. It controlled the weather. Stripped vast quantities of energy and left behind worlds in permafrost while others are lucky to have a few months of survivable weather.”
Saita listened closely. It was the first time that Kay spoke of the Dragon that came before her. It wasn’t of reverence. It was of disgust.
“The boy must have been in a blind panic to reach for a dead world.” Said Rubar.
“Not dead.” Corrected Fledge as he opened his eyes. “He saw a threat and felt that he needed to flee as far away from the threat as possible.”

Let's see how next weeks go and if they can find Aidan and Bolx.
