I have always believed that it is highly important to be able to spend time with your loved ones. Despite one's busy schedule, it is essential to spend even just a meager portion of your time with the ones that matter. Prior to the pandemic, my mother and I always enjoyed travelling not just in the Philippines but in other countries as well. We always make sure that we get to save up each year so that we could travel abroad. Breathing fresh air in a different country is always refreshing. There is this sense of excitement whenever we arrive at the airport since we know it's the gateway to another paradise. However, when the pandemic happened, my mother and I could no longer travel due to restrictions and we also fear that we might get quarantined in case there is a surge again.

Despite being both spontaneous, my mother and I always have an itinerary so that we an spend our limited time while travelling wisely. My mother usually makes the itinerary except when we went to Singapore and Malaysia where in she trusted me to plan the whole trip out. It was quite a fail since on our first day we took the wrong bus and we ended up getting lost in Singapore but it's alright since we had fun anyways. On our succeeding trips, my mother decided that she would plan the itinerary including the transportation so that we won't get lost. I have always enjoyed traveling with my mother since we enjoy wandering to new places in search of good food and also to shop. We never really invited my father when we travel since he is not spontaneous and he tends to be picky when it comes to food. My mother and I, we just simply eat anywhere.

I truly miss travelling with my mother since I consider her my forever date since I do not have a boyfriend yet. Nowadays, my mother and I go on dates whenever we visit the mall because somehow food has become our love language. The health restrictions and limited mobilization will never hinder us from spending quality time together. Luckily, the restrictions have eased up and so I am crossing my fingers since I am itching to travel again. Now, I guess is the perfect time to save up for that trip.
