My Actifit Report Card: July 1 2020

It was really rainy today so I mostly sat around the house.  

In the morning I headed to a disc golf course to meet a friend but he did not show up.  I think he probably figured it was too rainy.  I waited for a bit but then rode the e-bike home.

My son and I did head out in the rain in the evening for a short nine basket round.  We both played at one over par.  It was really wet and we only played with three discs.

I tried out the new _Gumbputt_ disc my friend found and gave me yesterday.  I really like it a lot.  I don't think I will use it as my primary putter disc but it sticks really well where it falls and it grabs the chains really well even when wet.  You can't beat the grip on this disc in the rainy weather.

I also had to fix my _Kwik Stik_ disc retrieving tool today.  Somebody, (we won't name anyone in particular, but it wasn't me,) broke it.  Any sideways torque can easily bend the rod near the end and break it.  It was easy enough to fix with some heat shrink tubing but ended up just a bit shorter than it was.

It still works great for what it is designed to do and is easy to carry around.  It wonderful for getting discs back from under bramble bushes. (If used correctly, LOL)

I shows all the different discs that I mainly like to take on harder courses.  I seldom take all of these and it depends on where I going to play and how windy I think it will be.  Generally I trim down to around fifteen or sixteen of these.

I have lots of discs in reserve that I have just in case I lose something.  Lots of times I'll switch things around too depending on what I feel like throwing.

I like the chart that this website gives on the flight patterns on the discs.  It gives you a feel about the types of throws that you can do and the variations between the discs.

it feels like to be able to learn to play disc golf with you there.  but great distances stop all that.  I can only enjoy you playing through posts posted.  but that doesn't matter because it's still fun for me.

I'm glad to share - it is a great deal of fun for me.  Perhaps you could setup a basket to play with too and start getting people interested where you live.  The sport has spread to many different countries.  I wonder if discs can be shipped to you.

I live in an Indonesian country (ACEH).  I don't think there is a sport like this in my country.  and I certainly don't understand how to play it, either.
