It is believed that the preparation for the school should begin a year or two before it comes time to go to first grade. Now there are all kinds of early development studios, schools for future first-graders at educational institutions. In kindergarten, preparatory classes are also conducted, in which children draw and mold, learn numbers and letters, learn to orient themselves in the adult world.

You can work with your child yourself, patiently and affectionately, accustoming him to daily lessons. Ideally, by the time you start school, your child must have the following basic knowledge and skills:

know the letters and numbers, read by syllables, count up to 20 and in reverse order;
be able to distinguish between seasons, orientate in time and space;
answer questions about the family, about yourself (full address, names of parents and relatives);
coherently tell a short story or retell a fairy tale in your own words;
correctly hold a pen or pencil in your hand;
not to be distracted during classes, to be focused.
Do not be discouraged if time is missed, and your baby is not quite confident in reading the syllables. At school, he will certainly be taught everything, but a prepared first-grade student is much easier to enter the path of knowledge.

Before starting a new stage in the life of the child, we recommend that you pay attention to the existing problems and try to correct them as much as possible. Look closely at your child: are there any problems with stuttering or lisping, is he sitting evenly, does not he slant, does his eyes screw up.
