La ciencia es mi otra mitad, desprenderme de ella no me ha sido ni me será fácil nunca, amén de los caminos que he decidido tomar. La Antropología Biológica me apasiona tanto como la literatura, desgraciadamente, la vida en Cuba se torna tan compleja, que entre tantos avatares es imposible poder dedicarnos a todo lo que nos gustaría. La sinapsis va enrrumbándose minuto a minuto casi exclusivamente a la búsqueda insaciable para la supervivencia, que es lo que hacemos en Cuba: "sobrevivir". No obstante, es bueno saber que nuestras investigaciones le son útiles a otras personas, es la continuidad del ciclo, proceso que suele retroalimentar siempre de algún modo.

Biological Anthropology fascinates me as much as literature, unfortunately, life in Cuba becomes so complex that among so many vicissitudes it is impossible to dedicate ourselves to everything we would like. The synapse is heading minute by minute almost exclusively to the insatiable search for survival, which is what we do in Cuba: "survive." However, it is good to know that our research is useful to other people, it is the continuity of the cycle, a process that usually always feeds back in some way.

Saberme citada en esta cifra en lo que va de año, no engorda mi ego, pero reconforta. La investigación que desarrollé durante mucho tiempo en una morgue para llevar a cabo mis estudios forenses, bajo las condiciones más surrealistas que puedan imaginar, finalmente brindó resultados de los que estoy muy orgullosa. Pocos saben todo lo que arriesgué y sacrifiqué para lograrlo. Sea este reconocimiento también para ustedes, que lo hicieron posible. 

> Knowing that I have been quoted in this figure so far this year does not make my ego fatter, but it comforts me. The research that I carried out for a long time in a morgue to carry out my forensic studies, under the most surreal conditions imaginable, finally produced results of which I am very proud. En primer lugar, lo dedico a la memoria de mi mejor amigo, mi esposo Darniel Poppé Acosta, mi Dany, eterno faro!!! Por su ayuda en la obtención de las muestras, por su compañía las innumerables noches de guardia, su sostén infinito. 
A mis madres: Niurka Hechavarría Valdés y Olga Marina Acosta Querst, sin el apoyo incondicional de estas dos mujeres todos mis proyectos serían pura utopía. Las amo. 
A mi hermana, amiga y cómplice Lisset Lima Hechavarría, "mi churrilla", mi primera hija. Agradezco tu eterna confianza en mí. La forma en la que me idolatras hace que recuerde todos los días que tengo alguien más para quien ser patrón y guia. Te amo. 
A mí padre, Jose Michel Lima Ge por el presente apoyo, por todo lo que me enseñó en la vida, que no ha sido poco. 
A mis profesores de la Universidad, a todos, vivo orgullosa y agradecida de haberlos tenido. Tuve a los mejores, siempre lo digo. Excelente claustro, magnífica formación. Veo cómo marchan las cosas hoy, comparo y me siento afortunada. Es triste realmente lo que se está viviendo en el sistema educacional cubano (por no mentar lo demás). A mis tutores, a otro de mis mejores amigos Yoandri S. Megna por su exigencia siempre, por su plena seguridad en mis triunfos. A Miriam SC quien me mostró el camino de esta especialidad y a Mario Gordillo Pérez por ayudarme a seguirlo.
