This time, I've decided to structure the post differently since we're talking about lifestyle. Being able to convey meaning through graphics is sometimes more empathetic than verbal communication, and in my case, I tend to forget that there are other ways beyond words. It's something I've been learning as a tool over the past few months, through the various courses, diplomas, and workshops I've been taking as part of my professional development in this new stage of my life, shaped by the migration process.

\>Ésta vez he decidido estructurar de forma distinta el post ya que hablamos de estilo de vida. Poder transmitir de forma gráfica a veces empatiza mejor que el verbo, y en mi caso, tiendo a olvidar que existen otros modos más allá de la palabra. Es algo que he ido aprendiendo como herramienta en los últimos meses, a través de los varios cursos, diplomados y talleres que he estado tomando como parte de mi superación profesional en esta nueva etapa de mi vida, matizada por el proceso migratorio.

I came to this country thanks to a scholarship, and I say thank you and not motivated because my motivations, like many people of my generation (although some might think otherwise), were not outside my homeland. I dreamed them, channeled them, fought for them, and achieved many of them there, where I was happy and victorious, until everything began to surround us and living basically became a luxury. Today, migrating hasn't changed my goals, nor my desire to conquer the world through the tool I consider most powerful: "knowledge." It has certainly been hard; migrating is never an easy path, and although I oppose revictimizing or romanticizing the process, I don't normalize it either. It's hard, but it can be achieved, and that's what my friends and colleagues, who have seen me cling to the goals that drive me every day, tell me.

\>Vine a este país gracias a una Beca de Estudios, y digo gracias y no motivada puesto a que mis motivaciones, como muchas personas de mi generación (aunque se piense lo contrario), no estaban fuera de mi tierra, las soñé, las encausé, las luché y muchas las logré allá, donde fui feliz y victoriosa, hasta que todo comenzó a cercarnos las ganas y vivir básicamente era un lujo. Hoy, migrar no ha cambiado mis metas, ni mis ganas de comerme el mundo a través de la herramienta que considero más poderosa: "el conocimiento". Ciertamente, ha sido duro, migrar nunca es un camino fácil, y, aunque me opongo a la revictimización o a romantizar el proceso, tampoco lo normalizo. Es duro, pero se logra, y es lo que me repiten los amigos, colegas que me han visto aferrada a los objetivos que mueven mi día a día.

Today I began a new Diploma: "Migrant and Pro-Migrant Intercultural Managers of Territories and Neighborhoods." I applied a few days ago when a colleague sent me the call, and shortly after, I received an email with the news that I had been selected as one of the program's scholarship recipients. Yes, another scholarship won by another Chilean university!!! The University of the Americas, Viña del Mar campus, opened its doors today to a group of people from very diverse backgrounds, together with the NGO Solidaridad Activa and the Regional Ministerial Secretariat (SEREMI) of Cultures in Valparaíso.

\>Hoy comencé un nuevo Diplomado: "Gestores interculturales migrantes y promigrantes de los territorios y barrios". Postulé hace unos días cuando una colega me envió la convocatoria y poco después recibí un correo con la noticia de que había quedado seleccionada como una de las becarias del programa. ¡Sí, otra beca ganada por otra Universidad chilena!!! La Universidad de Las Américas, sede Viña del Mar, hoy abrió sus puertas a un grupo de personas de muy diversas peocedencias, junto a la ONG Solidaridad Activa y la Secretaría Regional Ministerial (SEREMI) de las Culturas en Valparaíso.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow, aiming to raise awareness and integrate as a migrant in a society as complex and stereotyped as Chile's. This scholarship will provide the opportunity to fund projects that will compete for funding, so let's get to work.

\>Agradezco la oportunidad de crecimiento en vista a una concientización e integración como persona migrante en una sociedad tan compleja y esteriotipada como la chilena. Esta beca brindará la oportunidad de financiar proyectos que competirán por fondos, así que, ahí le vamos pa'rriba al lío.

This is my first time in this part of the city, and it's truly beautiful. I shared some photos of the views from the University of the Americas here in Viña del Mar, this frosty late-autumn morning.

\>Es la primera vez que estoy en esta parte de la ciudad, y es realmente hermosa. Ahí les compartí unas fotos de las vistas desde la Univeraidad de las Américas acá en Viña del Mar, esta mañana helada de fines de otoño.
