Greetings, my dear friends at @jewelry. Today I share with you my first project in macramé. I really wanted to make a piece with this technique but I felt somewhat intimidated because I imagined a highly complex fabric. Watching many tutorials I was able to verify that it is very easy to carry out this technique that consists of creating forms with the use of different knots and braids and that we can also add different stones, charms or whatever we like the most to highlight the fabric, although we can also do it alone the tissue.

My first experience has been somewhat uneven, because despite having seen many tutorials, theory is one thing and practice is another. We must have a lot of concentration, just like crocheting, we have to carry a sequence of the points that we are making and the corresponding side. So if you like this technique I recommend, to start, be in a calm and relaxed environment so you don't make a mistake.

You must also have some tools, which if the truth is not so necessary, may make your job easier. Since I don't have a table for this type of fabric, I managed with what I had at home and after carrying out several tests I verified that I could do the job without any inconvenience. Once you get the hang of it, the rest is a piece of cake. It is very easy, at least this point that I used to make these bracelets that I will show you how I made them below. Without further ado, let's begin.

Mis saludos, mis estimados amigos de @jewelry. Hoy les comparto mi primer proyecto en macramé. Tenía muchas ganas de realizar una pieza con esta técnica pero me sentía algo intimidada porque imaginaba un tejido de gran complejidad. Viendo muchos tutoriales pude comprobar que es muy sencillo realizar esta técnica que consiste en crear formas con la utilización de diferentes nudos y trenzas y que además podemos agregar diferentes piedras, dijes o lo que más nos guste para resaltar el tejido, aunque también podemos realizar solo el tejido.

Mi primera experiencia ha sido algo accidentada, porque a pesar de haber visto muchos tutoriales, una cosa es la teoría y otra la práctica. Debemos tener mucha concentración, al igual que el tejido a crochet, se tiene que llevar una secuencia de los puntos que vamos realizando y el lado a que corresponda. Así que si te gusta esta técnica te recomiendo, para comenzar, estar en un ambiente tranquilo y relajado para que no te equivoques. 

Además debes contar con algunas herramientas, que si la verdad no son tan necesarias puede que te faciliten el trabajo. Como no cuento con la tabla para este tipo de tejidos, me las ingenié con lo que tenía en casa y que después de realizar varias pruebas comprobé que podía realizar el trabajo sin ningún inconveniente. Una vez  que le agarras la vuelta lo demás es pan comido. Es muy fácil, por lo menos este punto que utilicé para realizar estas pulseras que a continuación les muestro cómo las realicé. Sin más, comencemos.

We begin by placing the two 40 cm strands of thread on the work table, which we will hold with the tweezers, leaving 10 cm at the top and hold with the tweezers. Comenzamos colocando en la tabla de trabajo, las dos hebras de hilo de 40 cm, que sujetaremos con las pinzas, dejando 10 cm en la parte superior y sujetar con la pinza. We take the 120 cm strand and fold it in half. Then we will go under the threads that we have on the work table and start the weaving. To do this we make a kind of "P" on the right side and then with the strand of thread on the left side, we will go under both strands and pull out through the center of the "P".
In the same way we do the opposite side. It is important to remember which side we work on because this technique consists of making knots on both sides, first the left, then the right or vice versa, until the weave is finished, to achieve a uniform piece and make the weave look pretty.

Tomamos la hebra de 120 cm y doblamos a la mitad. Luego pasaremos por debajo de las hebras que tenemos en la tabla de trabajo y comenzaremos el tejido. Para ello realizamos una especie de "P" en el lado derecho y luego con la hebra de hilo del lado izquierdo, pasaremos por debajo de ambas hebras y sacamos por el centro de la "P".
De igual manera realizamos del lado contrario. Es importante recordar cual lado trabajamos porque esta técnica consiste en hacer nudos de ambos lados, primero el izquierdo, luego el derecho o viceversa, hasta terminar el tejido, para lograr una pieza uniforme y que el tejido se vea bonito.

When we reach 3 cm of fabric we will make a flower using 6 pearls and 1 seed.
We release the hook that holds the thread in the lower part and insert a pearl, a mostacilla and another pearl and hold the thread in its position again.
Then we introduce two pearls in each thread of each end, with which we make the weave and we begin to weave again until completing 3 more cm of weaving.

Cuando alcancemos 3 cm de tejido realizaremos una flor utilizando 6 perlas y 1 mostacilla.
Soltamos el gancho que sujeta el hilo en la parte inferior e introducimos una perla, una mostacilla y otra perla y sujetamos nuevamente el hilo en su posición.
Luego introducimos dos perlas en cada hilo de cada extremo, con los que realizamos el tejido y comenzamos nuevamente a tejer hasta completar 3 cm más de tejido.

Finished the last series with the 3 cm of fabric, we cut the excess thread, which is not flush, to be able to burn the tip and stick to the fabric to prevent it from unraveling.
In the remaining threads of each end, we place a mustacilla, we make a knot and burn in the same way. Before carrying out this operation we can measure how much thread we want to have left over, since the space left to open and close our bracelet depends on it.

Finalizada la última serie con los 3 cm de tejido, cortamos el hilo sobrante, que no quede al ras, para poder quemar la punta y pegar al tejido para evitar que se deshaga el mismo. 
En los hilos sobrante de cada extremos, colocamos una mostacilla, hacemos un nudo y quemamos de igual manera. Antes de realizar esta operación podemos medir qué cantidad de hilo queremos que nos sobre, ya que de ello depende el espacio que quede para abrir y cerrar nuestra pulsera.

We cut the excess thread and burn to seal.

Ahora realizaremos el nudo corredizo que nos servirá para deslizar con facilidad la pulsera en la mano. Para esto tomamos una hebra de 1 cm de largo y unimos los dos extremos de la pulsera que quede uno sobre el otro, sujetamos con un gancho y realizamos el mismo tejido de la pulsera. Con 4 vueltas es suficiente para asegurarlo.
Cortamos el hilo sobrante y quemamos para sellar.

Felicidades. Yo la veo bastante bien. 

Me agrada mucho que te hayas animado a practicar esta técnica, seguro querrás hacer muchas pulseras. La tabla que improvisaste está genial, lo más importante es que usaste las herramientas que tenías a la mano y sí pudiste realizar tu prenda. 

Te quedó muy linda la pulsera en macramé.

Muchas gracias, siempre he pensado que para saber si algo es difícil o no, la mejor manera es comprobarlo haciéndolo el intento. Con esta técnica me ha pasado así, después de creer que no podía hacerlo, resultó que es muy fácil, sólo que con la práctica se haría mucho más rápido. Saludos.
