Some users have posted articles on Trybe and elsewhere stating that EOS price went down because of FUD related to Dan leaving EOS. I totally disagree with that way of thinking. A few days ago, some people posted screenshots of Block.One CTO, Daniel Larimer’s telegram comments on r/cryptocurrency. Those messages revealed that Dan is now working on another project. Some people misinterpreted it and posted messages on various social channels that Dan was leaving EOS and has started working on another project. That certainly not true. But it is also true that if Dan is working on another project, he wouldn’t be working full time on EOS development. And that is definitely a fact, not FUD. I believe this news certainly affected the confidence in EOS development team. If the creator of something stops putting his 100% on his project, people are obviously going lose some confidence in him. And the main reason EOS went down is because of Bitcoin price dump. There is no other major reason influencing it. Bitcoin price dump brought down all of the cryptos with it. That is because all crypto coins are still pegged to Bitcoin since they are traded in BTC pairs in exchanges. EOS is a much more volatile asset compared to BTC. Bitcoin has a lower number of mega whales compared to EOS. When Bitcoin price dumps, EOS price is expected to dump higher than Bitcoin since EOS is more volatile. This is true for the opposite as well. When Bitcoin price goes up, EOS price goes up higher than Bitcoin. EOS investors obviously love it when EOS price goes up higher than Bitcoin. Some will even hope for EOS to outrank Bitcoin one day. But the reality is that EOS price is still pegged to Bitcoin. Bitcoin might be old and slow, but it is still leading way ahead of its competitors.
