I wish you were able to enter the Roman baths and check them on the inside too. It's so fascinating to walk through such places rich in history. Happily, there are quite a few Roman baths in Romania too which can be visited at no cost, but the bad part is that there are not made any investments with this purpsoe and most likely they won't last forever

I love bath.  We used to live about 40mins north of it, and used to go fairly regularly.  I absolutely love the Roman baths, being daft on Roman history - its an amazing place to visit, although as you say a little pricey.  I had no idea there were only 4 such bridges in the world !  The only one I havent seen is the one in Germany, so maybe I have to add that to the very long list of places now !

The photos are great! Do you take them with your phone or do you have a camera? I love buildings that look old. Visiting historical buildings is my favorite. If I go to England, I will create an account called livingukturkey and share all my travels there 😂😂

Is the owner of Hive restaurant here on Hive? Hehe.. I am curious to see the inside... But I would love to spend more hours roaming around this place..

I was in Bath last October. I only saw the Royal Circus and the Royal Crescent in the evening and I have to say that it is much nicer during the day as your photos show. As for winning the lottery, in my opinion there is a better chance that Hive's price rises to $10 😉 Have a nice weekend!

The weir not only is very useful but becomes a beautiful sight to behold in the place! Wonderful! 

If that lottery ticket you speak of had gone out to me, I would have handed it over to you to fulfill your crazy ideas and see them. I loved the idea of the takeaway during the trip. The horseshoe analogy for the river fits right in.

Bath is on my list to visit again. It's actually quite an awkward journey from here but I discovered a coach company that does day trips, which would be perfect. Even better, one of the pick ups is about quarter of a mile away 😍.

I didn't know about the Pulteney Bridge or the weir, so I look forward to seeing those. I want to go to Persephone Books, as well, a quirky independent bookshop that specialises in re-printing 20th century writing, mainly by women. It does a lot of fiction but also interesting cookery books and social history. They used to be in Fitzrovia in London and one of my regular haunts. I think they are in Edgar Buildings now.
