It's easy as the dispenser of your time to actually feel the shoe pinch the soles of your feet, because it's actually your life you're living. Housekeeping when it pertains to your life is more within reach because you know yourself. And for me, I know what things bring life to my day, I know the activities that inspire joy, creativity, motivation and a sense of purpose each day. So much so that even when I am hungry and let myself reach exhausting limits, I still feel accomplished with my work and self. That's where passion lies and in the sense of a side hustle or an entire switch in career, that's most likely where 'bread' or income lies.

I was looking at 'side hustles for the year' again in my google search as I usually do each year to see what new thing people have come up with to earn them income. As usual, I found that they either did not work for my unique circumstances in a non-first world country or I did not find them interesting enough to venture in. I don't want to do surveys or walk a pet. I don't have a scooter or car to rent and I can't be a mystery shopper in my city. I wonder if these things work, why we have so many videos and blog posts each month saying the same thing to the same struggling people. Something gives. I won't discredit and say they don't work altogether and stick with saying that for my own unique personality and circumstances, they are not even options to consider.
So what then are my options or what is this uniqueness I speak of? It consists of the things I mentioned in my opening paragraph that make me happy to participate in life. I wake up each day with a hunger for beauty. I seek to look at, to learn how to create something beautiful so I draw and paint. I seek to be inspired by human resilience and effort in *stories told* or *films watched*. These are activities that makes me engage with life in a meaningful way. I have a Bachelors in English Linguistics, so it equally makes sense that I would enjoy doing these things. Since I gravitate towards these things, I find that creating and monetizing these aspects come easier because it feels like I am having fun and the money which comes as a reward is incidental. I think that's a model that works well for me.

This further begs the question of how I have structured these activities to maximize the benefits/profit from them. Hence this post, I suppose. As I do 'housekeeping' daily, i.e taking stock of my time and other resources and how well I am utilizing them, I realize I can do more. I can read more, I can draw more, I can do reviews more and I can in conclusion delve deeper. There really is more that needs to be done and effort to be put in, so I am encouraging myself in this respect to do so.
I had slowed down on my reading last year and this year I want to read a lot more as a way of investing in my mind. The country I reside in(Ukraine) has recently and as an incentive, decided to pay each vaccinated person the sum of 1000 UAH which is equivalent to 36.50 USD to spend on establishments that have suffered a lot in covid times. These include museums, cinemas, theatres, gyms and also online book stores in an aim to make the population more aware and educated.
I think this is a nice incentive even though I complained a bit earlier because I felt if it was a gift to us, how we spent it should not be an issue. I however clearly see the benefit and yesterday I used that money to order two books. I'm yet to have this order confirmed and I hope the store has these English books so I can continue with self development. Since hive is now my only other side hustle with communities that cover all my artistic interests at the moment, I want to spend time here building enough hive power and the passion I have so that I can eventually take the brave step from my actual job to pursue more of my interests even in the physical world by still expanding on the things I already do on the blockchain in those physical arenas.
