N00b veg gardener update.  

My onions are still alive!  As are the garlic and broccoli.  The leeks are doing OK too, though I'm not sure what they're *supposed* to look like at the moment.

One lettuce rotted in the ground.  None of the tomatoes survived and I'm not sure why other than the obvious incompetence of the gardener.  I have a few things coming up that look promising (I mean not deliberately sown but also not obvious weeds like grass and dandelions) - the compost is from my kitchen waste bin and I won't be surprised if some seeds survived in there and made it into the new bed.  I need a seedling identifier app.

I have some spinach cuttings that are getting going - two out of four are strong, one's a bit measly and I don't have high hopes for the other.

The two M&S Little Garden pots that Mrs Davis was given on a high-risk shopping trip earlier in lockdown have both come up.  There's a carrot pot (four seedlings so far) and a chilli pot (just three) They'll need bigger pots soon.

I have some fennel seeds germinating in the airing cupboard, but my most exciting discovery was that one of the lemon seeds I planted a week or so ago has just started to poke its head out of the compost.

The lawn needs mowing and the dandelions are winning over there, but the secret sunflowers (I haven't told anyone about them but you yet!) are thriving in a pot by the back gate.
