<div class="text-justify">It's finally Friday and I was so excited all morning about the upcoming weekend but then an email came and I will probably work at least one day on Saturday or Sunday. Incidents like that make me want to engage with Hive even more because I want to believe that I am going to reach the level to sustain my lifestyle through crypto but for now I'm just a kid dreaming. So let's leave fiction aside and focus on more realistic stuff such as our today's article. We've got another episode of the Highlights from the ladder series, taking the initiative from the @splinterlands' Social Media Challenge and we are going to review a battle from my daily grind in Wild. So today I chose a matchup that I went on full Damage Sneak mode, let's see what does turn for me.

If you are familiar with the game please skip the next part, if you are new to Splinterlands, I will make a summary for you! I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words!
So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain it to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn SPS and RP, the more you play and you are going up the ladder, the more rewards you get in quantity both for SPS & RP but you even get better rewards from the chests you are going to open. If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning SPS and grind for NFT cards and earn more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. ### Summoner Selection

So you already know the context of today's battle so I couldn't name a better champion than Daria Dragonscale in order to increase our melee damage output. You already know that I really love that champion and today we are going to use it in ideal conditions.

* **Holy Protection**: *All monsters have the divine shield ability*

* **Melee Mayem**: *Melee attack monsters can attack from any position*

* Also, as you can see from the image the Mana Cap for this battle is 25 and we can't play the Fire and Water Class.

The first monster we are going to place on the battlefield and also the only card that doesn't have an attacking purpose is the Pelacor Conjurer. The real reason for choosing this card lies behind the abilities it has, Flying and Magic reflect. I saw through the battle history that my opponent most likely would play some kind of Magic damage formation and indeed I was right. Also, with the flying ability, I wanted to believe that his main tank could potentially miss.

Stitch Leech was the monster I placed in the second position and as you saw and the image upwards all the rest cards have pretty much the same ability. I choose this card in order to do some extra damage in the backline and to end this battle in a couple of rounds. Also, I decided to place it second because it has a higher HP than the other and it's the least important in terms of doing high damage and have high Speed.

Uraeus is the card I placed in the third position and again the reasons are pretty much similar to the previous monster. As I said earlier because it has low speed and could tank potentially 2 hits, I placed it in third place.

My fourth pick was Elven Cutthroat and the reason I choose it to be in this position was that I thought that the battle wouldn't last until this card would be in the first position. The stats of this card fit perfectly for the purpose of this formation, the reason is kinda obvious high Speed and damage.

There can be no Ultimate Sneak formation in the light Class without this monster and of course, I'm talking about the Silvershield Assassin. I chose to place it in fifth place because I really believed that if everyone went wrong, this card could turn the tables at the last minute and take the W. To be honest, this card has helped me through various situations and I have won a lot of games because of his truly great abilities and stats.

In the last place, I thought this card would be an excellent fit because of its very high Speed. Also, Feral Spirit is truly checking all of the requirements to be placed in the team, high speed, and damage!

## Strategy & Hints
I thought that I have to give some extra explanation on the reasons I wanted to share this formation and why didn't I choose a different approach. If you are following my articles you already know that we encounter this ruleset before, [leaving a link here](https://ecency.com/hive-184309/@lofone/splinterlands-tales-from-silver-hill), so some of you would ask me why didn't you use the same mindset in this battle too and you decided to go with such an unorthodox strategy. I would try to break down my thoughts as much as I can in order to truly understand my thought process. The first major difference is the Mana cap, in this battle we've got a pretty low-midrange Mana cap and the tactic to use all the high mana monsters can not work. So it's going to be very hard to deal with our opponent's frontline with such limited mana because it's more likely to encounter a strong frontline with some support monsters behind it and you can predict that by looking at the battle history before you decide your strategy. Considering all of that I decided to win the game with high damage output and Speed, so my whole formation was created in order to win this game fast because every monster in isolation was pretty weak.
