One Guideline to Help Build the Steemit Photography Community

I suggest we only up vote pictures that are taken by the poster or at least verify the source.  Amazing photography should be credited to its creator.  Post your own pictures and claim it as your own.  If it is not your picture, you need to be clear that it is not your picture.

Original pictures posted by their creators **will help build** the photography community at Steemit.  If people want to post pictures of other peoples work, they need to cite the source or at least let people know it is not their work.

If I post some of my aerial photography, someone might be really into and wonder how they can do it.  They can ask me questions and I can give them tips to get started.  If I see some macro photography I really like, I can get info from them.  This is how a community gets built. 

Lets reward people who are actually taking the pictures or at least those that do not claim work as their own.  

Do other fans of the Photography channel agree with me on this?

Agreed - there are several users doing the copy/paste thing and then claiming 'fair use', but I don't think it falls under 'fair use' as it's clearly being used for profit/commercial intentions, not enrichment on a site such as FB (of course, FB gets enriched indirectly anyway) or Wikipedia type informational site.    I expect that there will be people pursued/sued here for infringement/damages and they'll at least go after the full amount that is visible (even though the posted only gets half) and then some.

Yep, I think we need to start policing ourselves.  People are just posting all kinds of stuff looking for up votes.  It needs to be your own or site the source at least!

I have made a couple of posts so far using my own photography and enjoy seeing what others have to offer. I mainly love wildlife, but always happy to see what others skill sets are.
I certainly don't want to see people posting pictures from google and passing it off as there own.
