The safety of pharmaceutical goods is a core concern for consumers all over the world; the early years of the new millennium mostly in 2000 had reoccurring incidents of illness that are food borne related and the effect of this was a menace in public health safety and increased food cost . These trends have overtly created a level of increased awareness as regards to the process in the organization & conveyance of pharmaceutical products within the food chain. Even though countries across the world have created many modes and ways that aims to facilitates strict inspection of food to cut health risk due to contamination, the major challenges affecting the quality of most pharmaceutical goods & food around the world is the effect of temperature & eventually compromise quality of pharmaceutical goods; according to WHO ( world health organization) research about 40% of vaccines shipped to countries all over the world tend to delict in quality due to effect of temperature during conveyance and this has been a major causative factor for bad debts in most pharmaceutical companies; in a bid to solve this problems smart containers group ( a swis based tech company) uses a blockchain technology based approach.

HOW DOES LOGI CHAIN WORK? 

(1) It has a physical unit or real-time unit ( I.e the container, product and goods ) as a chip on the blockchain logi chain ecosystem. The chip comprises of virtually all the prerequisite documents required to ease any transaction

(2) The smart container blockchain enabled ecosystem allows the public to view documents like ethereum while the fabric or corda provides basis for permission to encrypt documents, all other documents will be viewed via an open source .



CONCLUSION

The smart container started in 2009 with a mind bugging technology and opportunities, it transcended to the first division of smart container also called skycell, in 2012 it evolved into 1500c as at 2015 it integrated partners like emirates sky cargo in 2016. So far it has built on it progress in 2017 by introducing 2500 c and creation of food guardians and will only continue to get better with time.
