I have been on Hive for a long time and during that time I have had one big criticism of everything hive related. Not only because it wasnt worked on in the past but because there has been open rejection of there ever being a problem. 
Im ofc talking about the lack of focus on user experience (UX) on Hive. 
You can see that from the point of creating an account. Hive.io still provides terrible options in that regard that I would scrap instantly if I had any control there. 
This further follows to the lack of a tutorial system. AI is here. Programming a ChatGPT assistant to provide info is something simple to do. Pop-ups in page windows can work, anything really. 
Then you have our terrible content discovery system, lack of any algos... content search features. 
All tie into a bad user experience. 


Many projects never take off because they dont focus on UX and ease of use. We never force our dapps to do anything while paying out hundreds of thousands of HBD per year, because most times its hard to even know whats needed. 
#### People tend to look at things only from their own point of view fashioned over years of using our platforms, never taking into account what a newcomer sees and feels. 


My 2 year old knows how to turn on a phone and find cartoons on youtube. Going from point A to B. 
My 30 year old friend couldnt make a #Hive account without me explaining for half an hour how it works. 

### UX matters. 

**The Hive developer that finally realizes that will be king.** 
A shit product with great UX beats a good product with bad UX most of the time. 
Always consider: 

>“How can I make my end user have to think less and feel better when using my product.” 

Right now the biggest thing Im **bullish** on when it comes to Hive is @vsc.network.

One of the products theyre building is the BTC bridge. 
*Smart Contracts that are important for sure, aside for this dicussion.* 

But its a BTC bridge only from our perspective. I see it a bit differently. I see it as a full fledged Lightning Network alternative. which is what I will call it going forward and what I think it should promoted as. 
**Calling it a Bitcoin bridge, or bitcoin wrapping, generates interest only on Hive and its a bad sell imo. Its uninteresting, lacks gravitas or wider importance which it can have.** 

This "Lightning network alternative" being built on VSC simplifies everything and makes Bitcoin finally something usable that you dont just stick in a wallet and look at because fees are absurd and transactions slow. 

*Feeless, fast, intuitive and easy to use.*

Feeless and fast being valid attributes worth mentioning but it will be the UX that will make or break it. 
@Starkerz sent out some free BTC during CTT a few weeks back while showcasing just that. I can already envision in my mind what the website for it should look like, the UI, what the user faces coming in.

Great points, and i understand now why most of friends didn’t follow to use Hive. Maybe in the future will be two kind of users, the ones who knows the complicated steps and new users who even not realise they are using Hive.

Those are all good ideas and it will help the blockchain immensely if they are taken up. I suppose it takes a keen mind to take notice of these things. The difficulty is how to prompt it's incorporation into the hive platform.

The base function related to Hive is extremely important to Hive but we should definitely look how we can package this product as something thats focused on the Bitcoin ecosystem instead of just see it as a Hive feature.

You are right, as a beginner on this platform it took me about 3 weeks to figure out how to creat hive account. I believe the step as to be more simple so others can come in. I believe in hive but we still expect more from hive.

I think we have to build tools that are on Polygon, OP and other blockchains. because when we have similar tools along with the smart contracts. So in short if we consider competing in space, it'd bring value and people from outside. This means we also need more developers to build tools and services.

I understand your mean and your excitement about VSC but I think you're mixing concepts and unintentionally may confuse readers.
"Hive UX"
UX (user experience), in this case on Hive, since users don't interact directly with the Blockchain, it have to be with the daily interaction we have with the diverse Hive Dapps. To not go off topic I won't talk about Hive UX 😉.
VSC it will have an UX, but what I think you mean with the **Bitcoin bridge** it should be better described as **utility**.

By Hive user experience I mean the user experience while using everything thats part of the hive ecosystem. From Hive.io, to signup, dapps, everything.

And I think BTC bridge, when released, will be an utility. 
If VSC UX will be better than Hive UX in general, we'll have to wait, like the name says, "User Experience", users will evaluate VSC UX when they can use it.
