Hello there Axie pips!

I know most of you guys and gals are frustrated about the current SLP prices. Although the prices of our beloved love potion seems to be tanking for months now, we have seen some spikes in prices especially during updates. Adding the recent slump for popular coins like BTC and ETH there's very little chance for SLP's trend to reverse for now, unless we have a huge update. I'm not a financial advisor and this is not a financial advise but I'm not parting with my current stock of SLP in this market. The land gameplay and battle version 2 seem to be on the way so there's a good likelihood that there would be another spike. Remember the recent pump because of Katana's launch? What more if the devs introduce the much awaited 'burning mechanics' for the token? Again, this is not a 100% possibility as I'm just sharing with you what's on my mind. You guys can just take this as some sort of rant. I don't want to be responsible for any losses anyway just wanted to express my thoughts in this situation.

Since I started playing Axie Infinity last August I've learnt a lot of what to expect and how to deal with the things that come with these expectations. If you are investor or just a simple scholar which is troubled by recent crash there are many other opportunities that are available. I knew some people who are not very good players but are earning as much or even more than those in the top brackets. Streaming is one of the more popular side avenues to explore that can boost your income. It's tough to start but based on what I've heard it's more than rewarding for others. Just be unique, creative and entertaining to keep your audience. Do not let low MMR bring you down!

Another way to complement your axie revenue is to share something here on the @Axiebuzz community on Hive. With the recent pump I'm actually earning a bit more writing an article for an hour and half on the average here than playing 2 - 2.5 hours of axie everyday. *Hive lang malakas!?* Wish I always have time but I also have some sort of a day job. The beauty of writing an entry here is that I'm not obligated to stream live (although you have this option too). Just sharing your battles from your own perspective is good enough to make you some decent cash. In my experience it has become some sort of stress relief from the tedious and rhythmic battling everyday. And of course, it's very rewarding too.

And speaking of rhythmic battles we do have some clutch battles we experienced in the arena earlier today. I'm not going through the step-by-step summary like we usually do. Let's get on point for today because it's quite late. (I'm writing this entry at 2 a.m. in the morning.. LOL). Without further ado let's go!

### <center>Last Red Bar</center>
<center>https://youtu.be/EtpTlSOk5iI</center>
We got some really bad match up here. The midline reptile got Pocky which is very painful for our reptile even without a bug opponent. No explosive actions happened in the first two rounds so we played it safe in round 3 by defending our mid and back. It's quite hard to anticipate where the first backdoor will land but better safe than sorry. We took down their plant in round number 4 but ours was just as good as dead with 8 poison charges and less than half health remaining. it's a miracle that our plant lasted even until round 6 but both mid and front seems to be on the verge of collapse any time soon. The next moves would be critical so stay tuned.

We were successful to cast the Axie Kiss before the aqua died. Finishing off their mid was easy because we got Tiny Dino and Kotaro to do the job. The problem was what comes after. Both mid and front are now down and there's poison charge on our reptile which was slowly chipping away it's life. This would be difficult as we had only 2 energy. They got Grass Snake and were in full health which was a disadvantage for us. Bone Sail and Kotaro seems to be the best option.

We survived!

We now have 3 energy available but our health was below 50%. We needed to play max offense here. Although Bone Sail might stall us for two rounds we needed to do some counter offensive. We played one Catapult + 2x Tiny Dino. Catapult should be first because they still got Chomp which would stun us later on. It's a good card to deal some sort of invisible poison to range attackers. We got a juicy crit! Now we were at 62 health with 2 poison stacks on and they have only 6 health. It would be the end if the got 2x Chomp but thankfully they had none for that round. We also had limited options. Instead going for a conventional Bone Sail + Tiny Dino we played 2x Catapult and it was the right choice. They manage to bring us to last stand but we reflect enough damage for them to be taken out by just one Catapult leaving us one red bar to win the game.

Now we're up against your typical terminator team with a Tri Spike dusk as midline. It's an energy dependent team so after you take out the plant which is the power source of this team it would be difficult for them to execute an attack. This is why heavy damage beasts and mechs do pretty good against teams like these. the earlier you demolish the tank, the less options they would have because they wouldn't generate much energy aside from the 2 given every round.

We played 2x Carrot + Cactus in the first round which brought their plant's health to below 200. Although they still have lots of energy their plant was in a terrible state. I thought they would take the fact that we only have 2 energy next round and stall for a bit more by playing some energy gainers from their plant like Leaf Bug and/or Serious. They went the other route which was to do a backdoor play with their Tri Spike dusk but since we passed all damage went thru our plant. Thorny Caterpillar is still painful even with the slight nerf. The plant barely survived the attack from the dusk midline but was finished off by Mystic Rush coming from the backline. Worse is that our mid aqua was poisoned. But we knew that they exhausted all their energy reserve this round so it would be alot easier to plan a move later on.

We eliminated ther plant in round 3 without much difficulty. Made an energy gain and defensive move in round 4 but was counter by a sneaky attack targeting our backline. Our reptile was stunned and took some significant damage from it. Things were not looking good as our aqua was also slowed and also damaged by a Mystic Rush + Thorny Caterpillar combo from their backline. But since they kept on attacking we noticed that they likely are out of energy and had limited cards at their disposal. Even if we were last in the turn order we didn't really have much to worry about unless they played 2x Disarm and both of them crits.

<center>Energy, energy!</center></center>
Being slower than your opponent is not really a big disadvantage especially if you have the right cards. Cerastes and Kotaro for instance capitalizes on the fact of an axie being slower to show their might. We went all in round 5 depleting all our reserved energy but since Kotaro's effect was triggered we gained an additional 2 energy for the next round. Since we know that they would likely eliminate our mid next round we went all out again from our back. We made it sure that kotaro wouldn't miss so we would still have at least 3 energy next round . Catapult seemed to be the most useless card for us in this case so we just throw both them to cancel any stun if there would be Snail Shell present. Thankfully, there was none. In the end we lowered their health enough for us to take them on the following round. We did get stunned which render one of our three cards ineffective but two cards were enough to put them to last stand. They still had a chance to draw if the thorny caterpillar crits but sadly for them it didn't. We won the match with a measly 19 hp
remaining.

And that is all for today.
I started writing this yesterday before dawn but finally managed to finish this today! This is the 40th entry for our log,10 more and we're half a hundred! Lots of gratitude for the support! Appreciate it!

Thank you so much for visiting.

See you soon.

Ciao~
