IBT Survival Island - Regular Update

In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.

Well... things are getting tricky now and lets face it COVID lockdowns suck and are not helping; but yeah this game is starting to take on it's own life now and I think you can tell it's not going to be just another copy cat.

As per usual Roach the programmer isn't just happy showing weapons, now we have to show other stuff you are carrying for maximum effect and intense realism

**All items carried will show**

A lot of games have an issue where they don't visually display what you are carrying. Naturally at times there will be bags and other items that can be used to store things but if something doesn't fit in a bag and you have to carry it, then it will be on full display. For example you can carry up to 3 spears, all three spears will show if carried. Throw a spear, 2 will only display etc

**Smooth transitions completed from 3rd person view to 1st**

For a very long time we struggled to jump from 3rd person view to 1st. And then once in 1st person view the camera would not move with the direction change of the character plus the camera would "bob" with the character animation literally making you feel sea sick. So after hours of trial by error we have a nice smooth transition in 2 stages. By pressing "V" we go from 3rd person view to a view that is directly behind the character. Press "V" again and we go into 1st person view. Looking down and around you can now see your hands and feet where before the character could not be seen.

What else - Oh yeah, debugging is still taking place and a number of errors have been corrected reducing the list to just a few hundred to go haha.. Once we feel enough errors are removed, then game/demo packing will commence again.
