**PGM** short form of "Play Gamer" is a tipping token issued by @zottone444 a year ago. Basically, it was created for the promotion of gaming activities and to give gamers a chance to get some rewards while doing their gaming stuff on the Hive blockchain.

## PGM Token Information
PGM is a 2nd layer token on the Hive blockchain, it has a maximum supply of 2000000000 tokens. Users can stake this token and use its power to curate posts.

## Utility of PGM
PGM tokens can be utilized to earn different types of 2nd layer tokens, such as tipping struggling gamers or anyone, adding value to their posts by author rewards in PGM tokens, and staking PGM to earn curation rewards. This token can also be delegated to any other Hive user.

Staked PGM can be powered down in 4 lots, each lot takes 10 days to return PGM in your wallet i.e. 40 days for a complete power down. Delegating PGM is an instant operation, but removing delegation takes 5 days to return staked PGM to the main user.

**Tipping**
Tipping is the primary utility of PGM token, anyone holding a certain amount of staked PGM tokens can enjoy tipping other Hive users with the following tokens.

Users with 2500 or more PGM can also earn the same amount of tipping rewards for themselves and if they stake 5000 PGM then they'll send and receive 2x rewards.

**PGM, LVL, STARBITS, DEC, SBT, THG, SQM, & BUDS**

Users can put "! PGM", without space, in the comment box to tip someone they like. The minimum amount of staking is 10 PGM which allows you to use 1 command per day.

**#PGM Tag in Blogs**
Using #pgm tag in your gaming blog posts can earn you PGM upvotes from @pgm-curator. This way you can also earn curation rewards in PGM, and you might not need to buy them from the market.

**PGM Staking and Author Rewards**
This is a very beneficial utility of PGM tokens because once you have staked PGM you get PGM Power which allows you to earn Author Rewards when you upvote/downvote any post having #pgm tag.

**Burn PGM to Boost Your Post in PGM Frontend**
PGM also has a frontend, where you can read blogs, write new posts, and boost your PGM-tagged posts to earn extra curation rewards.

Visit https://pgmshare.com and log in using Hive Keychain to use the front-end and its services. To boost a post, look for the loudspeaker icon and simply click it to approve the burn PGM transaction.

Normally, 8 to 10 PGM tokens may be charged, but it keeps changing so always look for more information before approving any burn transaction.

## PGM Power Up
PGM Power Up is an announcement-only event and it occurs in about 2 to 3 months, the management allows ample time to participate in the event, which lasts for a week. Anyone can join by staking the required amount of PGM powered up and writing a nice post about the event. Curators look for quality posts and award them with PGM curation and tips.

Now, I am powering up 80 PGM tokens to participate in PGM Power Up event organized by @zottone444. 

Why am I doing this? Because I am a gamer and I like to support the Hive gaming community by powering up PGM tokens. This way I'll have more PGM power for curation and staking will also help stabilize the price of this token.

I am using https://peakd.com wallet to stake 80 PGM and earn PGM power this way.

Previously, I had 102 PGM staked tokens in my wallet, now I have 182 staked PGM in my wallet.
