Half a day, the hot sun and the Samaritan woman come out to quench their thirst. What he did not expect was to have found an apparently ordinary Jew sitting on the edge of the well, he must have been surprised when he asked for some water.

And he does not stop asking: "How do you, being a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan, water to drink"?

But she did not know who she was talking to, she did not know that He was going to offer her something that would satisfy her much more than water from a well...

And he says: "If you knew the gift of God and that he is asking for water, he would have asked for it, and he would have given you living water."

Should it have been confused, as someone who does not even have to draw water from a deep well can offer that kind of living water?

Again the question:? "You have nothing to draw water from, and the well is deep, where can you get this living water? Is it greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, which he himself drank, as well as his sons and his cattle? "

With care, in spite of the heat and the questions of those women, Jesus answered: "Everyone who drinks this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst again. the water that I give will become in him a source of water that will go out for eternal life.

Without thinking twice, she responds: "Lord, give me that water, so I will not be thirsty anymore, nor need to come back here to get water".
It is fascinating, (in several senses), this passage of John 4: 5-15, is one of the most important in the history of mankind, and that it has become a source of water that springs up for eternal life.

The water Jesus was talking about was Him! He is the source of living water, and as much as her, He invites us to drink from his water, so that he does not need to feel thirstier, thirst for the world. Because the world offers us water, but it is only for a moment, we think we are satiated, but then we feel thirsty again.

We search and search the world, friends, relationships or something that quenches our thirst but nothing works. I am sorry to tell you, but your search is useless, because you will never be 100% complete and satiated looking in the wrong place. Today Jesus invites you to drink from his living water, but you have to go to meet Him if you want to drink from that water.
