Algo que deben saber es que, llame a este post "mis primeros pasos dibujando en Krita", pero la verdad es que nunca he utilizado un programa de ilustración digital antes, y de hecho ni siquiera sé dibujar a mano de manera convencional.

Quiero decir que si te sentiste mal por haber pensado "vaya, que feo dibujo", tienes mi permiso, porque es la verdad, aunque me tomó mucho hacerlo, es bastante malo. Pero digamos que eso no me desanima tanto, más bien, quiero contarles mi experiencia, lo que me motiva a aprender este arte, subestimada algunas veces, y las lecciones aprendidas.

También mi esfuerzo por terminar este pequeño dibujo que quizás parezca hecho por un niño 6 años.  Sin más que decir ¡comencemos!

Something you should know is that, I called this post "my first steps drawing in Krita", but the truth is that I have never used a digital illustration program before, and in fact I don't even know how to draw by hand in a conventional way.

I mean that if you felt bad for having thought "wow, what an ugly drawing", you have my permission, because it is the truth, although it took me a lot to do it, it is quite bad. But let's say that doesn't discourage me so much, rather, I want to tell you about my experience, what motivates me to learn this art, which is sometimes underestimated, and the lessons learned.

Also my effort to finish this little drawing that maybe seems to be made by a 6 year old boy.  Without further ado, let's get started!

Las palabras algunas veces se quedan cortas, frente a lo que uno quiere describir, contar o simplemente plasmar. 

Siempre me fascinó ver personas hacer arte a través de dibujos, pinturas o esculturas, pero, digamos que fue en ese momento en el que aprendí la primera lección:

**"Esto es algo con lo que se nace."**

Así lo veía, ya que me consideraba -o considero- bastante incapaz de replicar aquellos dibujos que veía. Y sin embargo, este año intentando explorar hasta el tuétano, de qué está hecha mi voluntad, hice lo que una persona que no sabe dibujar, tiene que hacer.

Empezar sus primeros garabatos. Por si creían que lo de la primera foto era feo, oh, esperen, al principio era peor.

Words sometimes fall short of what one wants to describe, tell or simply capture. 

I have always been fascinated by seeing people make art through drawings, paintings or sculptures, but, let's say it was at that moment that I learned my first lesson:

**"This is something you are born with."**

That's how I saw it, since I considered myself -or consider myself- quite incapable of replicating those drawings I saw. And yet, this year, trying to explore to the marrow, what my will is made of, I did what a person who does not know how to draw, has to do.

Start your first scribbles. In case you thought the first picture was ugly, oh, wait, at first it was worse.

Si, el del inicio no era mi primer dibujo, sino el segundo.

El primero fue este, que espero no les ocasione náuseas visuales. No sé si eso exista, pero ojala no lo experimenten con mi dibujo.

Siguiendo con mi anterior línea de pensamiento, ¿pueden imaginar mi reacción al notar que mis dibujos no se asimilaban ni de cerca a lo que yo visualizaba en mi mente? Básicamente enloquecí, pensé:

**"Los dibujantes tienen manos de dioses."**

Esa era mi única explicación, hasta que vi un video de una chica que ilustraba increíble, y que quizás me dejó el consejo más grande "Se constante y practica mucho, entonces verás resultados".

"Este es un dibujo mio de hace ocho años."

Y ese dibujo se parecía al mío, era tan... ¿Abstracto? 

Feo, pero digamos "abstracto" para que suene mejor.

Yes, the one in the beginning was not my first drawing, but the second one.

The first was this one, which I hope will not cause you visual nausea. I don't know if that exists, but I hope you don't experience it with my drawing.

Continuing with my previous line of thought, can you imagine my reaction when I noticed that my drawings were not even close to what I was visualizing in my mind? I basically went crazy, I thought:

**"Drawers have the hands of gods."**

That was my only explanation, until I saw a video of a girl who illustrated incredible, and who perhaps left me the greatest advice "Be constant and practice a lot, then you will see results".

"This is a drawing of me from eight years ago."

And that drawing looked like mine, it was so... Abstract? 

Ugly, but let's say "abstract" to make it sound better.

Fue de este modo que me vi motivada a continuar con un segundo intento, y note que era un poco menos feo que el primero, así que lo coloree, y me hizo sentir un poco mejor, pensé:

"Si intentará con cada día, puedo mejorar de verdad"

Esa sensación, junto a la de ver algo terminado, hecho completamente por mis propias manos, quizás, fueron lo que de momento, me hicieron sentir verdaderamente feliz.

He querido hacer mis propias ilustraciones y tiras, y ahora, si me esfuerzo pueda que lo logre.  

Y pues, nada, eso fue todo, espero que les haya gustado y ¡se les quiere!

It was in this way that I was motivated to continue with a second attempt, and I noticed that it was a little less ugly than the first one, so I colored it, and it made me feel a little better, I thought:

"If you try every day, I can really improve."

That feeling, together with the feeling of seeing something finished, made completely by my own hands, perhaps, were what made me feel truly happy at the moment.

I have wanted to make my own illustrations and strips, and now, if I make an effort, I can make it.
