Let's think about something unique, which is totally different than the traditional social media where your content or even account can be completely deleted without any notice. **Unknown & private algorithms on such platforms decide what you should see**, and we are facing these issues on traditional, so-called social media platforms. Here I am talking about fully on-chain social media on where you are free to share your content and no one can control your account and content.  In this race, Hive stands out and proves itself unique and more user-friendly than these web 2 social media platforms.

Now you may ask what does the mean of the word "fully on-chain" and as a user, should you see it?  Here, you have to imagine a social network that records every single activity permanently on blockchain technology, which is public. Activities like blog posts, comments, upvotes mean likes and more. The excellent thing is that there is no owner of such a platform, and it is **transparent, decentralized, and immutable**. So now you can understand the word "onchain" true meaning, and these are things that are provided by Hive.
