Why I was so poor at decision making?

This was till a year ago, I used to find it extremely challenging to take decisions.

At work I was quite good at decision making however in personal life I wasnt able to take decisions. 

Why?
Simply put I always regretted the decision I took. I felt if I had taken another decision it would have been better. The outcome was important so important that I wanted to always make the best decision.

I never wanted to lose, as a result I used to struggle and take wrong decisions. I was always unhappy because I was comparing.

At work it worked well because there was not much I was losing !

The bottomline was simple
"I was greedy"
