There are _still_  large amount of the public that remain completely ignorant of what's happening right now, right under their noses.

Are so called intelligent people really so easily duped?
Yes. Some. 
And _some_ are part of the problem.

The propaganda techniques used to achieve this brainwashing (to date) are not even very sophisticated. 
So far, it’s mostly a matter of repetition.

Even on hive there are accounts that are continually doing this.
By making terms like 'the great reset' (the WEF technocratic agenda), or 'the internet of things' (IOT)  or 'the attention economy' is _all_ part of  the same brainwashing. 
And the goal is, that by using these terms _repetitively_,   these terms (and the idea's behind them), become 'normalized'.  
#### Propaganda starts with the normalization of words.

...and that's  all it takes to get a significant majority of the citizenry to accept the  'new normal' narrative.
They become 'truths'.
They are not truths of course -  they are propaganda.

If the propaganda is highlighted to people so that they're aware of the attempted psi-op that IS being _consciously conducted_ out on them , then  things can change .

Brainwashing only works when you're unaware of it. 
Unaware that it's been being carried out on you.

Once you _are_ aware of the linguistic _styles that are used_, and the techniques that are blatantly applied -  you can then see it all very clearly.
_THAT_ awareness - of the linguistics styles used, starts with being aware that it is - right now - in operation...

There's both a subtle and not so subtle   propaganda. 

If a narrative is  forever pushes a global consumer society, or the  inevitability of a hi-tech (blockchain?) dominated world - this is a subtle type of propaganda - a type of  'drip feeding' into your consciousness through media reports , blogging, and advertising.
The inevitability of human and machine technology merging, is another one.  They're trying to  _humanize_ AI!  (sex dolls for example).

Humans  can be scared of being shunned - and ridiculed - by society and their peers. 
The conformist, the sycophants - the  sheep, especially.
Some people are not, however -  and can live with  social disapproval. 
Me for example.

If a person of a conformist mindset thinks  that they'll be treated like  a pariah by people who they want respect and acceptance from -  they'll refrain from saying _or doing_ anything. 
The sycophant has no such  moral conflict or fear. 
(Expediency is hardwired into their actions almost unconsciously, without any awkward moral questions  arising).
