My Piaranthus

Piaranthus is native to the desert regions of Southwest and South Africa.

Piaranthus framesii, which you see in the photo below, I bought 3 years ago.

In the summer, I tried to put it where direct sunlight did not fall on it at noon.
So I saved him from burns.

In winter, during the dormant period, keeping Piaranthus below +12°C is not recommended.
But I keep it, on an open balcony, at a lower temperature, where it can drop to + 0 ° C and even lower.

I don’t know if the seed has started, because there was only 1 flower, but so far I have not decided to tear it off, as they write the seeds ripen for about 12 months.

And this is his flowering, only last year.
He gave many flowers.
But this year he decided to bloom only 1 flower ☹️.
I was looking for information and found where they write that Piaranthus framesii blooms only from new segments.

Like it or not, I think that @nikv will be able to tell me.
And if so, why did he grow only 1 segment?
Why is he unhappy?
Maybe because I transplanted it?

Transplanting may be a cause, it's also possible that it wants brighter light than is currently receiving. They like heat and they grow under bushes but the light should be bright to encourage them to flower. They also abort the flower buds if they are moved from a position so they are a plant that needs a happy place and then to be left there
