Nace una nueva Temporada 2023 de la Liga profesional del fútbol venezolano, la Liga FUTVE que ha partir de este viernes 03 de febrero arrancó en los estadios de los distintos rincones del país, con un total de 15 equipos competirán a partir de ahora para buscar durante todo este año un monarca del balompié criollo, como lo consiguió Metropolitanos FC ante el Monagas SC, estos últimos, actuales subcampeones visitaron el Olímpico de la UCV este sábado 04 de febrero para enfrentar al Deportivo La Guaira en la Jornada 1 partido que terminó con empate a cero goles, chances en ambos arcos pero los porteros se impusieron ante la caída de su marco.

Las caras ya conocidas en el once titular del Monagas fueron, Óscar González, Edgar Carrion, Edanyilber Navas, y Fernando Basante, que mostraron mucha más ganas de ir por el resultado, Navas ahora tomando protagonismo después de haber tenido un año 2022 muy resaltante, Basante dio mucho de qué hablar en la pretemporada en Bolivia, manchando una buena cantidad de goles siendo apenas jugador sub-20 es de mucha impotencia tener a jugadores jóvenes demostrando su talento a temprana edad, cómo lo han venido haciendo David Martínez y Miki Romero quienes se encuentran disputando el Sudamericano Sub-20 en Colombia y que también son parte importante del equipo monaguense.
